I think we know why Comey and Trump never liked each other. They both want to be the center of attention.
I actually read the statement. Cliffs notes.
Basically Trump asked Comey if he was loyal, something he asks many people he hires. Comey felt uncomfortable about it.
Trump did tell Comey he hoped they could get passed the Flynn thing bc he was a good guy. Should be noted that it was already reported that the FBI was not going to charge him.
Comey confirms that he did tell Trump three times that Trump was not under investigation.
Trump told Comey that if any satellites involved with his campaign did anything that they need to find out.
Trump wanted the FBI state that publicly bc he felt the Russian investigation was a cloud over his head effecting his job.
Comey did not like meeting with Trump privately, told Sessions such. Should be noted that their very fist private meeting was at the request of Comey.

I really wish they would ask To have all of Comeys memos given to one of these committees. I mean if this guy is making a big deal about these convos with Trump imagine what he wrote about his meetings with Obama. You wouldn't hear shit when Obama tries to use executive privilege to keep these out of the public eye.

I really wish they would ask To have all of Comeys memos given to one of these committees. I mean if this guy is making a big deal about these convos with Trump imagine what he wrote about his meetings with Obama. You wouldn't hear shit when Obama tries to use executive privilege to keep these out of the public eye. He allegedly never wrote memos about his meetings with Obama. And Comey says he only met twice with Obama privately. Also didn't keep notes on the Clinton investigation. |

CNN predictably acting like this is the smoking gun. I understand the talking heads trying to drive their narratives but they have actual lawyers who seemingly have no idea how investigations work.
If Mueller had anything on Trump colluding with Russia or obstructing justice would he even let Comey testify, let alone say what he said in his opening remarks? What criminal investigator would ever do such a thing? Comey would be his star witness and he is subjecting him to the Senate circus tomorrow. Makes zero sense.

This guy is such a partisan hack it's not even funny. Trump needs to do a better job of protecting himself though. He also didn't allow notes to be taken when Hillary was interviewed by FBI. Bottom line is the heads of all these agencies and Comey himself are on the record saying they were never pressured to drop any investigation. The FBI was never deprived of resources and Comey's firing did not hinder the investigation. And now Comey himself admits he told Trump he was not under investigation. And to this very day there is not a single piece of evidence that anyone in the Trump campaign colluded with Russia. |
