Now that actual facts have come out....do you want to correct your post? 1) not a GOP event. The softball game is bipartisan. There were Dems there as well. 2) shooter is in custody, not shot dead as you state. When your sole source of info is BS from Breitbart and Fox, you end up making foolish statements. 1) It was a GOP Event 2) The guy is now dead Waiting for the apology to DD When this was first reported, the event was described as bipartisan. Obviously, that is wrong. As for the second point, the guy was alive when DD wrote his post. Unless DD has magical abilities to look into the future, his original post was incorrect. |

I described it as "practicing for their charity baseball game" bc to all participants in a game it is their game. The Dems can say it is their game. Not sure what the hang-up is on that. As for the death of the shooter, I said he was "supposedly" shot dead on the scene. Hardly an absolute declaration. And I think we all have been around long enough to realize early reports and witness accounts are often inaccurate. It gets mentioned in a lot of threads. I would suggest it goes without saying. |

Took 13 posts before someone said hope everyone is okay or recovering. This is the sad state of affairs in this country today. It was a Muslim... It was a white guy... it was a gun nut... it was a D... it was an R... We've become a politically/racially/ideologically charged cesspool and humanity has taken a backseat to blame and bickering. Disgusting. Hope the senators, aids, cops and anyone else who was injured will make a full recovery. I could not agree more. It is a sad state when we must hate those of which we disagree with, whether to be able to disagree or because we disagree. What the fuck happened to civil discourse in this country? I can argue facts with anyone without hating them. I may think they're dumb asses but I do not feel the need to hate them. Nothing is more a testament to this phenomenon then our current political climate. Shit needs to change or this country is totally screwed and will go into complete fucking chaos as a result. |
