Don't know much about Chris Wagner -- but Chimera sucks, is old, and is paid more than Wagner, so this trade can't be a bad thing. It may not be good, but it can't be bad.

Yeah I saw this and thought “what is Anaheim thinking?” So, that is it for Garth's deadline moves. A 3rd line defenseman from Edmonton and a 4th line center. Either commit to winning or commit to rebuilding like the Rangers did, but Garth does nothing to make the team significantly better, nor does he make any moves to position us for the future. Can't wait to see what years 13-20 of the Garth rebuild are going to look like. |

They are not a cup contender, so Garf can’t load up for bear like Boston and Tampa did. They are also still barely fighting for the 8th seed, so Garf can’t be a seller. The very definition of mediocrity. It seems that battling for 8th seed is the Isles yearly goal. Keep reaching for that rainbow, sunshine’s. |

Gibson looked good. Deserved better. A shame they allowed 50 shots. Defense couldn’t man up for a game to help the kid out.
And a 4 on 3 PP in OT, and they still play this cutie pass pass game. WTF is wrong with them. Gotta be coaching that Wants them to play that way. Same with the super passive PK. And the defense... entire coaching staff has got to go. And it has to start with kicking snow out the door.

I liked Weight at first, i guess cause of the "new coach bump" he gave them when they fired Cappy, and cause I liked him as a player, but his system sucks. Time to fire Garth and the whole coaching staff, bring in a real President / GM and let him hire the coaching staff. Wishful thinking, I know.

I really think this might be it for Garth. And if Garth goes, Weight has to go. Unfortunately, I also think this is it for JT. 9 season, 3 playoff appearances. New coach & GM combo will have to rebuild around Barzal and hopefully have a couple of lottery picks to do it -- if Calgary misses the playoffs. |
