Not sure how many of us made the jump over here, but now that the season is over, I thought it might be fun to take a look back at our mock drafts and see how we did. Are there any nominees for the John Idzik award for Draft Incompetence.

Here is my first of two drafts:

Green Bay:

I really like this draft. Mosley, Breeland and Bryant all had real strong rookie seasons. Tre Boston was a solid contributor for the Panthers and Jimmie Ward was converted to Nickel Back and played half a season before going on IR.

I honestly don't recall every pick I made for the Steelers, can we still read JI?

I know my draft went something like this:
1 Dennard
2 Jarvis Landry....80 catches as a rookie and the best returner in the league
3 Ego Furguson.....24 tackles, 2 sacks, and 3pds, which I believe is one more than Pryor
4 James Hurst....went undrafted but is now the starting LT for the Ravens
I also landed Dez Southward, Kevin Pierre Louis, I believe Dozier,and yes Jalen Saunders.

But the real question is what you would have done as the Jets GM. My draft for the Jets would have included Cooks, Niklas, and definitely Mettenberger among others that would still be on the roster. I believe all of my picks for the Steelers are on active rosters.

Jalen Saunders as a 5th or 6th is not a bad pick for a guy who contirbuted on STs -- especially in New Orleans. Picking him early 4th and cutting him after one fumble is inexcusable. I still have a copy of Beefish's spreadsheet that I used to track our draft - I don't have all 7th rounders, but I have the rest of our draft. For what its worth, here are the Jet picks from our mock -- Jets traded up to 10 and took Mike Evans, that alone makes it a much better draft than the real one:

Aside from Evans and Demarcus Lawrence who just had an eventful few minutes, not much to get excited about. But I would love to have Evans on this roster.

And for others viewing this topic for the first time, the Jets draft was completely fucked because the commissioner/jets GM went MIA. It was after the Logan Thomas pick, who couldn't even beat out Lindley this week.

I was picking for Seattle and Washington. The only thing I remember about both drafts was that I had a high negative score with both. My best pick was taking Michigan tackle Michael Schofield for Washington in the sixth round. My worst was picking Michael Sam in the fifth round for the Seahawks.
