At some point you have to hold them accountable for the missed opportunities. I agree, but perhaps we can wait more than 3 games to make that assessment.

I disagree with all of you. This is like David Johnson all over again. In a way a lot of us saw this coming. If you go back to the draft thread, hunts name was a constant is during our discussion third round. This is not one of those 2020 hindsight situations. This is not some player nobody saw it coming. This is a running back who was well liked here and elsewhere and we are a team who needed three down running back. Nobody in this universe except for the Jets had Stewart ranked above hunt . ....did people expect him to blow up like this? Maybe not but Some teams just don't need a running back, others do prefer to wait (like the Jets) who think they can outsmart other teams in later rounds and miss manage the talent. Either way this to me is far from a who knew situation. Ok again. I'm talking about NOW. We don't have Hunt, we're not trading guard fur him, he'll never be in the Jets. Stewart is. I can't continue to cry and moan about lost opportunities. I'm talking strictly about Stewart. Starting to really like the guy. He may never amount to anything but my view in him is turning very positive. _

It's surprising how quickly weekly apathy sets in these days. Mondays fresh off a game - hey! Hunt fucking blah blah. Jets god damn it! ....by Tuesday - ah who cares, al bundy style.

Part of the problem -- at least speaking for myself -- is that I don't know how to feel about this team. This is the first season that I can remember going into it thinking draft position from the very first game. Usually it is October or November of a lost season before I start thinking about draft positioning. Now, after seeing the team play well (albeit against an opponent that looked awful) and win, I don't know how to react to that win. I am not really pissed, but I am not happy about it either. There are young pieces that look good: Adams appears to be legit, WRs may be better than advertised, McCown played well, Roberts looked good across from Claiborne and the OL has been competent. These are all things (except McCown) that can carry over into next year if we can add the missing QB and one or two offensive weapons. But the win makes it a little less likely we get that QB. I just don't know how to react right now -- so I have not posted much in the last 3 days. And it doesn't help that the football talk in general on this site has almost completely dried up. Unless you want to talk about the national anthem.

I do want to players to perform and develop... and hell, if the team comes together and shows us we're on our way, i guess that's great?... but we can't fuck around here. This HAS to be the year we get "the guy".. just has to be. ...and yea. the lack of relevant football talk is an issue. Seriously.

I think a lot of people are being put off by the constant political bullshit being injected into the NFL. And honestly, I don't blame them. It's pushing me away as well.

If we slip out of position for a Darnold/Rosen pick, what do you think about a guy like Barkley and then package our 2s to go after Falk later in the 1st. Although I really want to see how Falk looks tomorrow night against Southern Cal before thinking too much about this scenario. Haven't watched him much this season.

But yeah want to see him more the rest of the year. _

I'd rather trade picks to have a shot at one of the big 2. Go big or go home. We did it with Sanchez, hopefully this time there are better results.

The only issue there is the Browns and Bills have more ammo than us. _
