And Duke Johnson in the 3rd. I think Duke is going to go early-mid 2nd round. Very comparable to Gio Bernard in every way Ideally I'd take Cooper at #6 and then come back and take Duke in the 2nd. Then go LB/CB/OL in the 3rd depending on what we do in FA. I could definitely see him going in round 2, but as RobR mentioned there are a lot of good RBs in this draft. I could see Duke's injury concerns dropping him into the 3rd. He a pretty physical runner for someone his size so he tends to get banged up. I'm not too sure how long of a career he will have, but he should be a very good back for at least a couple years.

If we go with a high risk / high reward guy like DGB in the 2nd, then I sure hope we got with a high character, relatively safe pick in the first. Peat and DGB would be a nice 1-2 combo. As of now that is my ideal scenario. Two players with legit all-pro potential for years to come that is somewhat realistic considering our draft position. If we landed those two players the rest of the draft would be gravy. We could also flip-flop WR/OT in the first two rounds and come out with some legitimate building blocks.

This is a very good RB class...and I think you could easily rank Duke Johnson as the 3rd best RB behind Gordon and Gurley. I think Gordon goes Top 20 and even though I'd love to see Gurley fall to us in the 2nd round, someone is going to snatch him up in the mid-late 20's. Especially with teams like Indianapolis, New England, Baltimore, Denver, Seattle, and San Diego picking in that area and all of them having the need for a RB. And I could easily see as many as 4-5 RB's going in the 2nd round (Duke Johnson, Tevin Coleman, Ameer Abdullah, T.J. Yeldon, Mike Davis). To me, this is hands down the best RB class in years.

Although i agree with UT that this RB class is deeper than most in recent years (by a long margin), I still think Duke goes early. between 2/3 which we may be positioned well for in the 3rd.. but i'd kind of rather take David Johnson in rnd 4 and get the same production. Duke is like you said, G. Bernard -- a gloried COP back in today's NFL. David Johnson would be even greater compliment (not named Gurley) to Ivory.
Also, i like flowers for us at OT

Also, i like flowers for us at OT I would actually take Buck Allen from USC over Duke Johnson if both were there in the 3rd round. Allen has much better size and is a very smooth receiver. Your boy DJ could actually go before the 4th round. He is going to test as good as any RB will and his name will start being thrown around a lot more than it is now.

beat me to it... OHHHHH BABY!!! Buckle up friends, it's gonna be a roller coaster!! Dorial Green-Beckham - WR - Sooners Oklahoma and Ex-Missouri redshirt sophomore WR Dorial Green-Beckham will enter the 2015 NFL Draft. We had no inside information, but this is the outcome we expected all along. Green-Beckham transferred to Oklahoma last offseason after his time ended early at Missouri. He never played a down for the Sooners but did practice with them all season long. Head coach Bob Stoops said DGB informed him of the decision last week. Josh Norris ranks Green-Beckham as the top receiver in this class, but Norris does not factor in off-field issues. Green-Beckham was charged in a domestic violence dispute and faced other character controversies while at Missouri. Because of this, his draft projection is impossible to predict at this time.

@nfl_CFB: Bob Stoops says Dorial Green-Beckham will enter 2015 draft. --> t.co/ovGUKm02NiI always thought he would enter the draft. Despite not playing he's still a late 1st to 2nd round pick, and at worst 3rd round. Yes, if he stayed he would probably 1st round pick, but rookie contracts aren't that big anymore. Now he'll get his second contract a year earlier where the big money is at. Also going back he could always get injured, get in trouble again, or not produce. This is great news for us.

take him with the 6th pick I would be shocked if a brand new GM takes DGB with his first draft pick as a Jet.

It has been well documented that I'm a Dorial Green-Beckham fan. I really felt that if he played at Oklahoma next year he'd grab a 100 balls for 20 touchdowns, win the Biletnikoff award, and be the first WR drafted #1 overall since Keyshawn. However, if he is indeed coming out this year he will only be a late first round pick. I think he'll do really well at the combine but he would be wise to prepare for the interview process. I think teams will immediately ask about his off the field instances and will recognize the answers that were "coached" by an agent and if he isn't being sincere. He really needed production at OU and more time away from his mistakes at Missouri. I'd love to have him for the Jets but if it turns out we need babysitter just to keep him on the straight and narrow then he wouldn't be worth it.
You can't fix stupid but you can mature.
