So basically he was abused as a kid, and high stakes gambling was his way of self medicating (or self destructing?), and then to cover his debts he defrauded people, hoping he'd get out of the hole someday. Newsflash, you almost never get out of that gambling hole.
Im sorry he was molested, but the rest of it, he can go fuck himself.

There’s a long New Yorker profile up today about Craigy and how his life unraveled. His wife left him and took the kids, and he’s been living in his $2.5 million foreclosed mansion by himself until his sentencing. His only friend left is Chris Christie (lol) and even Boomer couldn’t bring himself to talk to him for a long time after he was arrested. Apparently he was once able to turn a $10k loan from Boomer into $25k in one night playing blackjack (which was more or less a total fluke) and once people heard about that on the radio they started to stake him millions of dollars as “investments.” Which of course he lost. Casinos started to love him and they showered him with free suites and private jets as he got deeper and deeper into debt. Sad story, and I’m torn on him. On one hand he dedicated a lot of his time to charity and set up foundations and fundraisers for people in need. On the other hand he absolutely craved celebrity, and part of me thinks a driving force behind that philanthropy was for people to shower him with praise. At the end of the day, just another scumbag running a Ponzi scheme. Innocent people are out millions of dollars, and his kids will grow up hating their father. And the wheel in the sky keeps on turning.

I actually heard a show about 4 years ago when he announced on the air he was going to a Casino and was hitting up Boomer and the other idiots for $ promising to multiply their investment. It seemed very tame at the time, very ominous in retrospect.

That was the beginning of the end for him. Crazy.

Might work for a a few years....they always get "too smart" and always crash and burn.

Put it all on the Super Bowl under (33) because phenomenal defenses. 34-7 Ravens. Fuck Kerry Collins. Have not bet on a game since (Super Bowl box pools notwithstanding).

I have a similar story betting on the Bears to cover in 2007 (that was the rain soaked game in Miami that the Colts won). Rex Grossman was horrendous.

Sad. A flawed man but he was somewhat likeable. No excuse for what he did to those people.
Does anybody have him in the death pool? Seems like a sure thing.
