Heard a black sports broadcaster/personality today say that the whole kneeling thing was ineffectual and stupid and then say that nothing will solve the "issue" until we have a real conversation, but that we will never have that real conversation because it will make white people uncomfortable. Serious question, anyone know what he's talking about? To me, the "issue" has become so muddled with these various forms of protest that Im not quite sure any more what people are mad about? Is it Blacks getting shot? Is it Trump meddling with the NFL? Something else? Are they just mad to be mad? Thats one of my biggest problems with this - a lack of clear articulation of what the issue is. |

Even if your forefathers were immigrants from Italy in 1902 who never owned slaves but were treated Iike slaves when they got here but pulled themselves up by their bootstraps and made something of themselves instead of blaming every one else for their plight. _ Or Irish. Or German. Or Eastern European. According to these brainiacs, all white people can trace their lineage in the US back to the 17 and 1800s. |
