The inability of a board to keep politics out of it's main threads is a sign the end is near. The amount of anger, finger pointing, and negativity here is sad. This used to be such a fun place ( for a Jets board).  I don't think it's just the Hampur. The problem was and is people expecting the government to save them in the first place. Personal responsibility would have saved those people. Trying to solve problems government creates with more government is moronic. No that is completely off the mark. Try again. Fair enough. You should know that I was enjoying a podcast. An author of Red Famine; a Ukraine famine that was exacerbated; purposefully, by soviet politburo. The Ukrainians that had no back up food or resource starved quickly. Their bodies lined the streets because they THOUGHT they could make it; that is, find food somewhere. There is a capitol famine here in America. Those suffering and mad with "starvation" are ready to drop; maybe need help from leadership. Mike Pence said "I'm fiscally prudent" and took big risks with the health system. Prudent? What is so hard about a keeping hospitals and shelters on point, when it comes to the vermin that use and infect each other without care? All religions say not to disregard those suffering deeply...it's like those souls are poisoned. How can we abandon those so close to the End? Ask Mike Pence. The problem was and is people expecting the government to save them in the first place. Personal responsibility would have saved those people. I see your point as the constraint that I, as a Civic Leader, especially if I have heavy responsibilities, have to address immediately. It's similar to "looking in the wrong end of the telescope". The choice Pence made was the right one, but delayed. He is not an algorithm guy like you and me - a problem solver - he's a Right/Wrong guy; he worries about the message that's going out; he's deliberating. Taking his time. Like 6-8 weeks here. So I took offense to the grandstanding at the Niner game. ANYWAY - Turns out that personal responsibility was effectively achieved - You want a clean needle? What is they hypocrisy? Did Pence, on his way out of the game, say, "I can't believe these niggers kneeling during the anthem, if only they were white guys doing blow instead"? No one even KNEW about the video, no one covered for him, where is the hypocrisy? There would have to be some to be able to point it out. Put the bat down and take a fn breath. It was not my idea; but probably inspired by Casper the VPOTUS and his BS "christian" ways. And yes; the hypocrisy is in caring for a symbol, instead of the message from many of his (unwanted obv) constituents. Mike Pence is a Dope Above All Others. You can make the black players case "about the flag"...but it is not about the flag. It's about systemic racism; racism that hides behind the label of "fighting political correctness"...the trend is "getting worse". So how is their kneeling doing anything of substance, other than pissing some people off? After the game, these players go home and smoke weed and play Xbox and go to the strip club, and few actually go out and do CONCRETE things to help the communities they've come from, and supposedly care so much about. |
