i had a good buddy i used to go to a shitload of yankees games with way way back in the day back at the real stadium
we would always get shitfaced but we're both happy drunks, not obnoxious dicks so it was always a great time with everyone... stan's before and after, sneaking in a six of tallboys back when that was still possible, just great fucking memories
anyway he died about 15 years ago, but to this day every time the yankees do something great i mimic his carefree happy drunken yell...so hammered that saying the whole "YANKEES" name was too much, so it was just "THE GEEEEEEEEEEEES!"
lol how many fucking 4 trains we rode down to penn with him yelling "THE GEEEEEEEEES" while i laughed my ass off

I was there too, the sopne caught a batting practice ball off of Jimmy Rollins down the right field line with his hat, just reached out and snagged it, the camera man next to us let go of his camera and applauded him. Glad we'll always have that memory together. I also remember the broad who did "God Bless America", Kelly OHara I think her name was...was a knockout...and stopped a buzzing stadium with her version, it was so good. People were like "holy sh*t...listen to this broad". Will try to post a link, I know Network went to commercial, so its only on someone's cell phone. I think this is a much better team than that one was. |
