If Mac resigns Mcown and passes on one of the QBs in the draft that to me is a insult to every fan in Jets nation. Its an slap in the face to every season ticket owner. If this guy passes on this class of QBs it shows he can not evaluate talent and should not be GM. It seems reason Mac drafts defense because its the safest way less chance of making a bad pick (Hackenberg). It seems this guy goes BPA doesnt go outside the box because he cant evaluate talent. I honestly think he thought Hackenberg was BPA on his board in 2nd round and why he reached for him. That why I started this post this guy is not a good gm he cant think outside the box. I honestly dont believe he will take a QB because he sucks at evaluating talent. He wont get Cousins because it will cost to much. He will end up with Alex Smith Bridgewater or Mccown also Bowtite is also a lousy coach who cant develop QBs will also prefer a veteran QB because he know another rookie bust will kill his Rep. I think we are in for another disapointing year when it comes to getting a franchise QB. Yes we might get Bennett a great CB in FA but when it comes to QB dont expect to see anything other then another used up vet. if you are correct, Maccagnan is a fucking moron who should be eviscerated and hung next to the other moronic Jets senior managers over the years. If the guy doesn't take Mayfield Macc has to be thrown in the street and shit upon. Who was that dumb bastard Player Personnel President the Jets had under Hess, through the 1990s, until Parcells got rid of him. Can't remember his dumb bastard name, but he was a piece of financial shit. I hope his balls rotted off. What was the dumb bastard's name? Dick Steinberg ? I think that was his name. He died so rip shitbag.

Gutman was a major league CUNT.

Gutman was a typical Jets asshole. He was an accountant, interested in the financial bottom line and nothing else. During his time with the Jets he knew literally nothing about football ... he was a financial asshole and nothing more. Parcells got rid of him at the beginning of his takeover. Hopefully, Gutman's balls disintegrated.

Ahh I forgot about that asshat. He was around forever too. I read a story about what Parcells did to him. Parcells was running practice and Gutman walked in to the practice dome with some guests. He was showing them around. This was typical of Gutman. When Parcells saw Gutman and his guests he immediately called a complete halt to practice. No player moved. And Parcells stared across the field at Gutman ... one of the assistant coaches called it the 50 yard stare. Parcells stood firm, keeping all the players still, until Gutman left the practice dome. The next thing Parcells did was to rearrange the office building, throwing everyone who had nothing to do with on-the-field operations out of his side of the building, including Gutman. And the only way they could get into the field operations area was by appointment. Gutman refused to be a part of the new arrangement, so Leon Hess, the asshole, gave him a separation package.

In my opinion, thats how it should always be. Football ops on one side, non-football ops somewhere else.

He’s due! Lol! No, he just sucks at evaluating talent especially QBs. Wish he wasn’t afraid to take Mayfield, but he’s a wuss and probably won’t. F u Macc. You embody everything that is dysfunctional and inept with this rotten franchise.

The past is not necessarily a predictor of the future. Especially in a class with what looks to be a very good crop of QBs. This isn’t the class of EJ Manuel and Geno Smith. _

I get it but every time there is a bunch of QBs coming out in the same year (like this year) nobody thinks they are going to bust. Look at the '83 draft. How many first round QBs? Like 5 or 6 in the first round of 1983 and two were hall of famers, Kenny O was probably above average and the others were busts.
My point is even if 4 QBs go in the first round odds are two will be good and two will bust. If the Jets don't like the QBs that are left when we pick I won't be pissed.

Assuming we don't end up with Cousins, anything other than Darnold, Rosen, or Mayfield is a failure. End of story.

My point is even if 4 QBs go in the first round odds are two will be good and two will bust. If the Jets don't like the QBs that are left when we pick I won't be pissed. A few things. Just because there have been 1st round bust QBs in the past should not disuade one from choosing a QB in the first round. It is the ONLY position in football that matters. The same number of busts happen at every other position so if you’re going to bust, make it a bust with some upside. How has taking Dee Miliner and Mo and Sheldon and Pryor and Coples and the Ghost and Robertson worked out for us? At least we went for the moon with Sanchez and we almost got there. The last first rounder before him was Penny and we almost got there with him. Second, there are no “odds” that are predictive of the future. There are busts all over the draft, the “odds” in a vacuum are irrelevant, it’s all about making the right choice. Lastly, none of us are GMs, we’re just fans. Obviously if the FO doesn’t like the QBs left, they shouldn’t take one just to take one. For my money, I’d take any one of the 5 and hold my breath because we’re going to suck anyway, they only way to get out of the spiral of suckitude is to hit on a QB. I love Darnold Mayfield and Rosen but who knows, Allen could become a star as could Jackson. None of us know. But this is a better and deeper class than we’ve seen in ages. Maybe Rudolph or Finley (if he comes out) become stars. Who knows? But yeah I want a QB at the 6. Or I want to trade up. I don’t want any other position which is just as likely to bust. Go big or go home. _

Maccagan, McClown, Fitpukerick. Jets need a sign outside Met Death that says “Irish need not apply”.
