@nfl_CFB: Interesting. MT @sethemerson: Brian Schottenheimer leaves St. Louis Rams, where he was OC. He will be Georgia's OC and QB coach.
Any thoughts Lithfan?

The only thing that comes to mind is that Schotty's circle of trust informed him that he (still) isn't viewed as HC material and thus he decided to retreat to College to make the ascension there. Come at it from that angle down the road instead?

My original reaction was -- just shoot me now. If he brings all the shifts, motion and pre-snap reads -- not sure how all that will play with an 18 year old running the offense. I thought I was rid of this guy for good Gonna have an open mind, though. It might play well with QB & other offensive recruits to have a former NFL OC running your offense. Should be able to make a great argument that we will continue to run pro offenses and get kids ready for the next step.

He will help bring recruits in because he has coached in the NFL and is only 41. However, as an OC in the NFL he has never coached a top flight offense or help develop a good young QB. Richt will still have to do most of the heavy lifting but I think adding some young blood will help him on the recruiting trail. I hope he succeeds at Georgia but I'm surprised he took a high level coordinator job instead of taking head coaching job at a smaller school.

My original reaction was -- just shoot me now. Your initial reaction was correct. You're fucked.

I wish you and the Bulldawg Nation success in the future, I also did the same to my cousin when Stl hired him.

That play is burned into my brain. Hopefully he doesn't fuck up the best duo of sophomore RB's in the nation. Go Dawgs!!
