Down went Boro
Sacked Karanka with 9 games to go. Up to that point they'd conceded 30 goals all season, after he was sacked they conceded 18 in the remaining 9 games and won 6 points
A salutary lesson to stick by a manager. He might have had them near the bottom at the time but the fundamental set up was resilient. Just needed that waster Negredo to get a few goals
