MINNEAPOLIS, MN (KMSP) – A 32-year-old Bloomington man is facing multiple charges after he reportedly hid in a women’s bathroom at Minneapolis Community and Technical College, then crawled into a stall in an attempt to sexually assault a woman.

Asad Abu Mohamed of Bloomington is charged with third degree criminal sexual conduct, making terroristic threats and fourth degree assault of a school official.

An MCTC official told Fox 9, the incident happened just after 1 p.m. Friday on the second floor of the campus’ Technology building.

According to the criminal complaint, when Minneapolis police responded to MCTC, they found people comforting a woman, while MCTC security officers were detaining a handcuffed Mohamed.

After speaking with the woman, police learned she had gone into the women’s restroom, which had two stalls. She attempted to go into the larger handicap-accessible stall, but found it was locked, so she went into the smaller stall. While in the stall with her pants down, Mohamed crawled into her stall from the handicap-accessible stall.

The woman immediately began kicking and screaming at Mohamed. She told police, he covered her mouth and told her he would kill her. The woman continued screaming and struggling with Mohammed. In the struggle, he ripped out her earring and pulled her hair. The woman told police she was convinced he was going to rape her.

Bystanders nearby heard her screams and came to help. They found Mohamed choking the woman with one hand and smoking a glass pipe with his other hand. The woman was screaming and hitting Mohamed while her pants and underwear were down around her knees.

MCTC security officers arrived soon after. One of the security officers used pepper spray on Mohamed when he resisted those who were trying to restrain him. Mohamed “swatted” at security, apparently attempting to cut them with the jagged glass pipe. The security officers managed to handcuff Mohamed before police arrived. The MCTC security supervisor received minor injuries in the struggle.

When Minneapolis police arrived to take Mohamed into custody, an officer pat-frisked him for weapons. Mohamed told the officer to “f— off” and “I’ll rape you too.”

During the investigation, Crime Lab officials found the toilet seat in the handicap-accessible stall was covered in muddy shoe prints, showing Mohamed apparently stood on the toilet seat while waiting for a victim to enter the next stall.

Mohamed has been charged with indecent exposure twice before, but the charges were dismissed due to “mental deficiency.” He was civilly committed twice in 2016.

Due to his history, the charges say, “the State does not believe any form of conditional release is sufficient to protect the public from [Mohamed.]”

Mohamed is in custody at Hennepin County Jail.

HOUSTON, TX (Breitbart) – An investigation by a Houston television reporter revealed that the man accused of murdering a store owner is allegedly an illegal alien who is currently under President Barack Obama’s DACA amnesty program. The “Dreamer” is currently on the run after allegedly killing the store owner and shooting another man.

An investigation by ABC13’s Jessica Willey reports that accused killer Judas Deluna, 21, is an illegal alien who is currently under the Obama-era Deferred Action for Childhood Arrivals (DACA) amnesty program. The program allows undocumented immigrants brought to the U.S. illegally by their parents to receive temporary protected status from deportation. The federal government is supposed to conduct a criminal background investigation prior to adjusting the immigrant’s DACA status.

Deluna may have obtained the DACA protection despite a prior history of felony arrests and convictions.

Court records obtained by Breitbart Texas from Harris County District Clerk Chris Daniel’s office show that Deluna received a felony conviction for a terroristic threat made in 2015. The judge of the 176th Criminal District Court sentenced the man to 60 days in county jail. He had also been charged with Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon. That charge was dismissed as part of a plea agreement.

Earlier that year, prosecutors charged Deluna with a felony charge of evading arrest with a motor vehicle. The same judge placed the man on four years of probation and deferred adjudication. Following the new murder charge, prosecutors filed a motion to adjudicate this charge.

The current murder charges stem from a shooting that occurred outside DJ’s Food Mart in northwest Harris County in January, Willey reported. It is believed that Deluna got into a fight with another man. He fled to his vehicle where he reportedly pulled a gun and shot the man he was fighting with. When store owner’s son, Rahman Rupani, responded to the shooting, Deluna allegedly shot him as well. Rupani died from his wounds.

Deluna fled the scene in a Black Lincoln Navigator, according to a criminal complaint obtained by Breitbart Texas.

He has been on the run since the January 26 shooting. Willey reported that during the passing three weeks, she learned of Deluna’s status as a DACA “Dreamer.”

Willey also learned that Deluna’s illegal alien father, Manuel Deluna, is also a violent felon who is currently facing deportation proceedings.

Crime appears to be the family business. Judas Deluna’s older brother, Eric Deluna, also has a violent criminal history that includes convictions in state court in 2005 of Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and a 2011 case of Aggravated Robbery with a Deadly Weapon, according to Harris County court records obtained by Breitbart Texas.

Willey reported that Eric Deluna planned to ambush a Los Zetas cartel drug shipment in Houston. The shipment was actually part of a federal sting operation. The sting turned violent when a gun battle ensued. A federal informant died in the shootout and a Harris County deputy sheriff was wounded. The older Deluna brother received a 30-year prison sentence.

Activists have often attempted to paint the picture of all DACA recipients being upstanding, law-abiding residents of this country. However, Breitbart Texas has previously reported on crimes, including human smuggling and gang membership, committed by DACA recipients.

Judas Deluna remains a fugitive at this time. His victim, Rhaman Rupani, leaves behind a grieving wife and two young children.

A cash reward is being offered by Houston Crime Stoppers for information leading to Deluna’s arrest.

BURLINGTON, NC (WRAL) – A man has been arrested after his car ended up on the roof of another person’s home Sunday.

Officers with the Burlington Police Department responded to a home on the 300 block of Hall Avenue around 9 p.m. to find a car on top of the roof.

Police arrested and charged the driver, Rene Alexander Quiteno-Duran, 25, with felony hit and run, driving while impaired, resist delay obstruct, injury to real property and no operator’s license. Police found Quiteno-Duran, who had minor injuries from the crash, hiding in his basement.

There was no one inside the home when it was hit, but officials said the damage is estimated at $10,000.

Police said the suspect originally told them his name was Fernando Andres Ponce. When fingerprints confirmed his real name, officials learned that he had two additional orders for arrest warrants under it.

FULLERTON, CA (NBC Los Angeles) – Angela Aguilar had just gone back inside her Fullerton home to cook. She thought her 6-year-old daughter, Grace, was also inside.

Grace Aguilar, though, was in the front yard, where she had gone to sit by her favorite tree. Angela Aguilar heard the crash, but she didn’t realize that an out-of-control driver had struck her daughter.

Grace Aguilar died in that Feb. 17 crash, which police say was caused by a drunk driver, and now her parents can only look back on a young life that had filled theirs with so much joy.

“For something so stupid to happen in a second, just to have (your child) taken away from you, it’s not fair,” Angela Aguilar said. “It’s not fair.”

Immigration officials say 50-year-old Maximino Delgado Lagunas, who is in the United States illegally, had a blood alcohol level nearly three times the legal limit when he was arrested. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has revealed to NBC4 that Lagunas, a Mexican national, had been deported twice, once in 2001 and again in 2008.

Court records show that in 2015 he was arrested for another DUI. Immigration officials say that back then Buena Park police did not detain Lagunas for the required 48 hours for pickup by immigration officials, instead placing him on informal probation and releasing him to the streets.

Angela and Jesus Aguilar say it took them eight years to have a child. Now they can only mourn their daughter after Lagunas’ actions.

The girl’s parents say their daughter was friendly and mature. She loved people, nature and God. Her father remembers her hugs and her smiles. Her mother remembers the sound of her voice.

“She had this beautiful laugh,” Angela Aguilar said. “I still hear it in my head every day.”

Lagunas could now face a possible murder charge.

“He’s taken away from me the best thing I had in life,” Jesus Aguilar said.

VENTURA COUNTY, CA (CBS Los Angeles) – An illegal immigrant wanted on child abuse charges in Ventura County was released from custody in January despite an ICE hold, U.S. Attorney General Jeff Sessions noted Wednesday while announcing a lawsuit against California for its sanctuary state policies.

The Ventura County Sheriff’s Department confirmed Wednesday that it was searching for 34-year-old Jose Vaca of Moorpark for charges of sexually abusing a 13-year-old.

In June 2016, prosecutors issued an arrest warrant for Vaca on charges of continual sexual abuse of a minor. Investigators learned that he had likely fled to Mexico. He was on the loose for 18 months.

However, on Jan. 1, 2018, Vaca was found in Ventura County and arrested on a $100,000 warrant, the sheriff’s department reports.

He was booked into jail, but released on bail the following day, Jan. 2, despite the fact U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement had previously issued an immigration hold for Vaca.

According to the sheriff’s department, deputies did not notify ICE that Baca was in custody because of SB 54 – the sanctuary state bill – which had taken effect the same day of his arrest, Jan. 1.

“For example, in January, Ventura County declined a request from ICE to hold an alien Ventura had arrested for continuous sexual abuse of a child,” Sessions noted Wednesday when he addressed the annual Law Enforcement Legislative Day Convention in Sacramento. “Instead of being removed from this country, he was released back into the community, and now our federal law enforcement will need to find him and arrest him wherever he may be.”

Under SB 54, local jurisdictions are barred from asking people about their immigration status or participating in immigration enforcement activities. Jail officials are only allowed to transfer inmates to federal immigration authorities if they have been convicted of certain crimes.

Vaca was ordered to appear in court on Jan. 19, but he never showed. He remains at large. Investigators believe he may have again fled to Mexico, VCSD reports. Deputies believe the victim in the case is safe. She has moved to another state and is living with family there.

“In this case, because he had not seen a judge yet, it didn’t comply with all of the criteria that we needed,” Ventura County Sheriff Sgt. Eric Buschow told CBS2 News Wednesday. “And so, we did not contact ICE, and he was released on bond.”

YUMA COUNTY, AZ (The Chicago Tribune) – A man arrested by U.S. Border Patrol agents Monday night in Arizona is a Mexican man who’s been a fugitive from a Chicago murder case since 1982, according to authorities and records.

A man identifying himself as Alejandro Rodriguez-Valencia was taken into custody about 9:30 p.m. local time Monday near Morelos Dam on the Colorado River, soon after he made an illegal entry into the United States, according to a border patrol news release.

Records show the man is being held in the Yuma County jail under the name Francisco Ruiz and lists his date of offense as Aug. 28, 1982. That’s the date that a murder warrant for Francisco Ruiz, now 54, was issued in Cook County Criminal Court in connection with the July 24, 1982, killing of Victor Robledo in the Little Village neighborhood, according to court records.

At the time of the killing, Ruiz was an unemployed laborer, according to a 1982 warrant against him.

After his arrest Monday night, border control agents discovered Rodriguez-Valencia’s fingerprints and photo matched those of a suspect with an active felony arrest warrant in Chicago, involving a killing with a knife, according to the news release.The Tribune has previously written about Ruiz being a fugitive as part of a 2011 series on fugitives from justice. Ruiz, formerly of the 2400 block of South Drake Street, is believed to have fled Chicago in August 1982, just before he was charged with first-degree murder in the beating and stabbing death of Robledo, the FBI said in a 2011 alert.

The man calling himself Rodriguez-Valencia, also known as Ruiz, was previously arrested and deported from the United States in 2006, before agents discovered he was wanted for murder.

Police reopened the murder investigation in 2006 and interviewed Ruiz’s ex-wife, who told police he moved to Mexico to live with his father “and had been there ever since, and as recently as last summer she sent their son to live with him in Mexico for a couple of months,” according to a 2006 warrant.

Ruiz was being held in the Yuma County jail Tuesday night, pending extradition.
