Great write up - Im more excited about his UDFA signing I think than most of the Day 3 draft picks. Bates should be able to use him all over the place.

Cue the bonerpants... and watch out Lawrence Thomas, this guy is taking your roster spot.

Flowers is possibly the most undervalued and/or versatile player in this draft. He played as an H-Back, Iso lead blocker, a regular fullback and tight end. He ranks #1 in OU history (tied with Demaro Murray) with 13 TD receptions as a running back. He averaged over 10 yards a reception in all 4 years at OU and finished with an astounding 16.4 yards/per reception on his 54 career receptions.
Flowers is an ancillary player whose worth is derived from providing help for other more dynamic players, while providing leadership and well timed big plays on offense. He is tough as nails but he is very smart and undestands the nuances of a defense. He was also 1st team All-Academic Big 12 selection in 2017.
He has a low center of gravity which allows him great leverage on blocks and to be difficult to knock off balance as a runner. He is built like a fire hydrant, tough to tackle, and uses his stout frame to squeeze out extra yards and running plays; especially short yardage.
He was loved by his teammates who understood all the little things he did that most people wouldn't notice. He is a quiet leader who does everything well and takes care of the dirty work.
Flowers is the type of player successful teams seem to have. He is an unselfish, team first player who loves football and his teammates. He is a fullback in name but has a skill set that is tailor made for success in the NFL. A smart offensive mind will see the value in Flowers game, he can make a game changing play with a block, protection or a reception. Every team needs a Dimitri Flowers on their roster.
