I wouldnt have wanted Grubauer if forced to take on Orpik as well. Sounds like the Caps wanted to dump salary and send Grubauer out west. Oh well.
Was hoping to see one of the picks tonight traded for immediate upgrades, but you cant argue with getting two top 7/8 players at 11 and 12. Thank you Coyotes and Rangers apparently, for reaching a bit and letting these guys fall. Wahlstrom is an absolute sniper at RW and Dobson is a future top pairing defenseman.

Looks like JT met with Toronto and Isles yesterday. I don’t know who’s on the schedule today. Dallas, Boston, Tampa, and San Jose still on th list.

Unless something has been signed and not announced, he is a goner. Would really suck the way this went down, supposedly asking the team not to trade him at the deadline, then adding a legitimate coach and GM with Cup winning pedigrees. What more could he have wanted. Why the charade? And leaving the team in limbo until free agency already started. I always thought he was a class act, but if he is leaving, this is not the way to do it. |
