Take this with a grain of sand, but one of the "Islanders Facebook Groups" posted the following. Again, a half step above "the mailman told me" but...
It finally feels like they wont be starting the season giving all the other teams a head start.

I can only imagine the sales pitch from Lou to Trotz... "come to NY, we rebuild a once great franchise, and you pass Al Arbour in all time wins on the way to a Stanley Cup"
Success here cements those two as two of the all time greats. And kudos to ownership for putting their money where their mouths are, and ponying up $8-10 million combined for a new GM and HC.
