Well, they are kinda doing ok against the Wings, at the moment. A scrimmage before Thursday. a nice win tonight, but against worst team in the league. Hopefully keep the good juju going on Thursday |

Have they hit rock bottom yet? Or will a loss to the wings followed by another loss to the rags be rock bottom? Monday was a rough one, but hopefully tonight is a different story. Matt Martin didnt do us any favors Monday getting tossed. |

Granted the linesman faked him out with the puck drop, but the timing of him instigating the fight seemed odd. We were winning 1-0, Johnson had just beat Haley's ass (which I believe was a rematch for the two from the pre-season game at BPT this year), and Martin squares off with Brendan Smith, who had just got on the ice for his first shift. I think Martin officially got something like 10 seconds TOI. Casey didn't suit up, and they only dressed 12 F (I think), one of which was Ross the Boss, whos only going to get 6-7 minutes of ice time anyway, so getting tossed 2 mins into the game is pretty bad timing. They pretty much played the whole game with 10 F. |

Brutal. I dont know what to say. Overall, played a decent game, still cant score on the PP.
Brassard... ugh. How they didnt call a penalty on Boychuk a few mins before, letting them play, but then calling that on Brassard? It was a crosscheck, but it was a little away from the play, and with less than two minutes, usually they dont call that stuff.
I give Eberle a lot of credit, I thought he was dead after getting cross checked into the goal. Dirty MFers. But Ebs playing the rest of the game, that took guts.

Interesting points made in this thread below - I love Barry Trotz, and a lot of this is on the talent available, but rolling 10F every game will burn guys out by the end of the year. Kuhnackl and Johnson combined for 30 seconds of ice time in the last 30 mins of the game. They effectively roll three lines for half the game. Granted, it was a tight game and the top 6 needed to play and hopefully score, but we have very few bottom six Fs that play even moderate amounts of minutes.
