They have succeeded in destroying the big cities in US. Damn near any I can think of. Very close to reaching the rest. I'm prob pretty close to death but I really feel for the young ones. Fucked up. Sorry you were born into possibly the worst time in global history. Many are scared shitless too and can feel trouble in the air. Its palpable in anyone with the slightest hint of common sense Dark days ahead boys n girls... dark days

The inportant thing is to stay free. Compare how poor Americans live compared with the elite and rich from 200 years ago. Most have heat, air conditioning, refrigerators, food, entertainment and have access to more information in their cell phones than the finest libraries of the past. The problem is complacency and entitlement.

Life expectancy up, global poverty down, child mortality down, people are better educated than ever before, you can go on and on. Its all a matter of perspective.

I keep hearing people complaining about it being so hard to live, "in this economy". It is arguably the best economy in 60 years. There are millions of unfilled jobs. If you can't make it in this economy then you can never succeed.
Of course what they mean is they want more handouts.

Wages have just started to rise, but you can not ignore the vanishing middle class, shit is expensive. Venture capitalists have been a major factor when it comes to the vanishing blue collar jobs.

Shit was always expensive, relatively speaking. Difference was, when we were kids, our parents budgeted and saved, and then bought. They didnt run up huge credit card debt having to buy all kinds of shit they dont need right now. Its the era of instant gratification.

People are richer, and food is cheaper. This exactly it. I also posted something on this in the general thread. Stop eating out and buying a $4 coffee every morning. People are their own worst enemies.

Venture capitalists have been a major factor when it comes to the vanishing blue collar jobs. reason.com/2015/12/10/the-middle-class-is-shrinking-because-th/The headlines all appear to be accurate, but in that specialized newspaper way that attempts to reinforce an existing narrative and ignore some relevant information. It is true that Pew's analysis shows that the number of households that fit within their categorization of middle class has shrunk by 11 percentage points since 1971. It is true that the proportion of households that are classified as lower class has increased from 25 percent to 29 percent. But it is also true that the proportion of households that are classified as upper class has increased from 14 percent to 21 percent. That is to say, part of the reason that the middle class is disappearing is that they are succeeding and jumping to the next bracket. And a greater number of them are moving up than moving down. Be wary of the assumption that the drop in the middle class is a sign of a crisis.
