Florida woman says she accidentally killed husband after slipping on dog poop
'Suspect made a lot of excuses, but none of them made sense,' sheriff says

LAKELAND, Fla. - Florida deputies have arrested a Lakeland woman who claimed she accidentally stabbed her husband to death after she slipped on dog poop.
Rachel Fidanian, 38, faces a charge of second-degree murder after a monthslong investigation.
Brian Bruchey, a spokesman for the Polk County Sheriff's Office, said 40-year-old Bryant Fidanian died on June 25.
Bruchey said Rachel Fidanian initially told deputies that she was cutting a pizza with a kitchen knife when her dog defecated on itself. She told deputies that she kept the knife in her hand as she tried to clean up the dog but slipped and fell into her husband.
"The suspect made a lot of excuses, but none of them made sense," Sheriff Grady Judd said. āOur detectives did a thorough investigation. In the end, they determined this was an intentional act of domestic violence."
Deputies said Rachel Fidanian stabbed her husband in the ribs, severing his pulmonary artery. Paramedics transported him to Lakeland Regional Health, where he died of his injuries.
Bruchey said deputies found Fidanian's initial version of events implausible, and he said she changed her story several times. Deputies also did not find any feces or urine in the area described by Rachel Fidanian, the arrest report said. Deputies said she was later unable to pick up her dog, casting further doubt on her story.
Rachel Fidanian described her relationship as "wonderful," but neighbors told police the couple fought often, the report said.

A Canadian rapper has died after falling from the wing of an airplane while filming a daring stunt for a new music video.
Jon James McMurray, 34, plunged to his death in British Columbia on Saturday.
The rapper, who goes by Jon James, was performing the stunt on the wing of the small Cessna when the plane suddenly went into a downward spiral.
His management team said he had been preparing for the stunt for months and had been training 'intensively'.
'His final act included performing an airplane stunt that included rapping while walking on the wing. He had trained intensely for this stunt; however, as Jon got further out onto the wing of the plane, it caused the small Cessna to go into a downward spiral that the pilot couldnāt correct,' a statement from his team said.
'Jon held onto the wing until it was too late, and by the time he let go, he didn't have time to pull his chute. He impacted and died instantly.'
The pilot managed to regain control of the plane and land it safely just minutes later.
Jon's body was found in a hay field by farmer Sydney Fox. She told Global News that she heard the plane flying low over their house just moments before. Jon's last words, according to Fox, were "ooohoooooooow ugh word to your mother".
Authorities said they are still investigating Jon's death.
They said Jon was part of a team filming plane and parachuting stunts and that no one else was injured.
He was initially a professional skier but turned his focus to music after suffering a broken back and shattered heel in a skiing accident several years ago.

I admittedly havenāt been to one in over 25 years. Jimmy Johnās is overpriced. Subway sucks period. I have a supermarket that makes awesome heroās, using quality meat. Also, WAWA is not bad for the price. |
