Sec.101row23 pointed out that Shrine game practices take place Monday so I figured it was time to start a thread for the East-West Shrine game and NFLPA All-Star game. I combined the two since I figured most talk will center around the Shrine game. The Shrine game will take place on 1/17 at 4pm EST on NFL Network. The NFLPA All-Star Game will take place on 1/17 at 4pm EST on ESPN2. As you can see, both games are scheduled at the exact same time. I find this....well, stupid. The East-West Shrine game should get the majority of viewers so I just don't understand.
So, why watch the NFLPA game? Well, I know we got some Rakeem Cato fans here (will play for the American squad) and some Brandon Bridge fans here (will play for the National squad) so maybe it's worth putting on your DVR. No one else really screams out at me but that's what happens when you're the third best all-star game.
Players I'll be watching at the Shrine game are : OT/OG Sean Hickey, TE Wes Saxton, CB Cam Thomas, OT Bobby Hart, and WR Jordan Taylor to name just a few. I think in the end the highest pick of this game will wind up being Hickey who may go in the middle of the third round but that's up for debate. The highest pick I've seen in this game was WR A.J. Jenkins who wound up going in the late first but has had a less then stellar career.
