Ah lol - And if as on cue, Spike Lee embarrassed himself by complaining loudly and attempting to walk out when he didn't win Best Picture. He decided not to leave but instead turned his back to the stage and did not applaud. I did not see GREEN BOOK but by all accounts its the Forrest Gumpy take on period race relations and people liked it and it was well-reviewed. And - oh - Mahershala Ali just won a Best Actor Oscar for it a few minutes earlier. Not good enough for Spike! What an immense asshole. Apparently Jordan Peele also withheld his applause. I guess he too has decided to enter that 'auteur-poseur' axis from which no good can come. www.foxnews.com/entertainment/spike-lee-furious-when-green-book-won-best-picture-oscar-attempted-to-storm-out-of-theaterSpike Lee, the famed director whose “BlacKkKlansman,” was up for the best picture award at the Oscars on Sunday night, appeared to try to storm out of the Dolby Theatre after it was announced that “Green Book" won the award.
Lee, a lifelong New York Knicks basketball fan, compared the "Green Book" win to a referee making "the wrong call."
In a stunning move shortly after "Green Book" was announced the winner, the director walked toward the back of the auditorium, according to a reporter for Deadline. He eventually got back to his seat and got into what appeared to be an intense conversation with the writer Jordan Peele. The report said that Lee turned his back to the stage during the speech.

This sort of behavior is so widespread throughout sports and entertainment it is spoken about as if its normal. Grown men acting like children and they are entertained by people afraid to call it out for what it is.

It’s the yearly old man shakes cane at the Oscars thread. You're late and missed the whole thing. Knob! So, Spike was an ass, they took a few shots at Trump, adored each other for what is considered by many a dying industry? That about right? Sounds like a hoot. I did drywall work instead. Much more satisfying.
