Anyone watch the last episode last night? I liked the season but didn’t love the ending. The show is going on the road for the next episode to the Orchards of Asia Day Spa in Jupiter, Florida. Evidently the plot centers on some old scumbag who owns an NFL franchise is involved in supporting human trafficking by patronizing the place.

And they just brushed over the fact that the little girl was sold, i thought would be a big sinister child ring or something. IMO the worse of the 3 seasons.

I thought it was good. Son didn’t throw away the address, he put it in his pocket instead of the trash.
I didn’t really understand the bar scene at the end. I kept thinking his wife was in on it all along. Nor did I understand the last jingle clip. But whatev.
Was a good season IMO. Not quite as good as season 1, but much better than season 2.

I thought the whole season was outstanding. There was literally a whole yin/yang thing going on with him and his wife, right down to their skin tone. She was his real partner. Roland was simply his facilitator; in the 80s he lent him credibility as a white partner to a black detective, in the 90s he rescued him from oblivion, and in present day he became his sounding board and guy Friday for his wife's clues. The bar scene was just another example of yin/yang play between them, solidifying of that dynamic I felt. They had to make him forget why he was at the address as that would've ruined Julie's happiness. That's the one time his wife was wrong; that story did not need to be told. I felt the jungle scene was about him feeling alone when his dementia episodes would begin, just like he was in the jungle, alone and scared.
