Now that the Jets invested 50 million in Bell they need to get a Center whether trade or Draft Again it shows Mac is an idiot for spending 4 years here and has never drafted a replacement for Mangold. I think the right thing to do is trade the #3 spot and move back to 10 to 15 Redskins ( who might be looking to jump the Giants) might be a partner and take Garrett Bradbury who is the best center on the board you cant expect Johnthan Harrison to be the started this is total stupidity that this is the best mac can do with his 100 million. I would love Bosa or Allen but you cant leave the OL like this Bradley is the most NFL ready and can start day 1.

Would love to see the Jets shore up the OL, but who is trading with the Jets to move up, and why? I think they have a better chance trading a player for additional picks that may give them ammo to get back into the 2nd round.

Legit chance of Bosa falling to 3. I'm all for trading back but that would be hard to pass up. I can see us passing up Quinnen Williams but not Bosa. I struggle to see us passing up Josh Allen too.
I believe they view Jonnothan Harrison as a potential starter at center and evidence from the season would support he is a decent option.
Still, I am hopeful that sign/draft at least 4 new bodies for the OL.

Why?
While it would be nice, we don’t need the next Kevin Mawae or Nick Mangold at center.
We just need someone competent who can hold his own and won’t send snaps flying at Darnold’s ankles or over his head.
Frankly, I didn’t think Harrison played bad at all when he took over. At least there weren’t any errant snaps that I can remember.
Bring in a cheap vet like Sullivan or Wisniewski to push Harrison. Hell, Josh Sitton even has a little experience at center.

You could potentially find a starting center in the third, or package the two thirds to jump up a little into the late second.

This draft is very thin at center there are only 3 centers considered good enough to start in the NFL by the time the Jets pick in the third they will probably be gone the rest are projects. They invested 50 million in Bell pretty stupid to run him behind Harrison who isn't even a good back up Sullivan would be great if he wasn't on the downside. Wininiewski is horrible might well start Harrison or have kept spencer Long.

A little dated from a month ago, but some good points. Travis Swanson is available, he could be worth another look. Someone could shake loose during cuts in camp. Im always wary of converting a player from guard to center... if you're going to do that, might as well sign Sitton and see if Winters can play center. Ideally you'd like someone in place prior to the draft, then draft a guy to push them.

Sullivan may be on the downside, but you'd be signing him to a 1-2 year deal, probably front loaded so you could move on after a year if he falls off the cliff. Same with Wisniewski.

No one is trading with us. The qbs in this draft are not special.

Also If Bosa falls to 3 there could be interest. As much as I would love Bosa the Jets have to get a center you spent 50 million on Bell if this guy cant run this season goes south fast. Mack should have made this priority and got one of the top centers in FA seems like he doesn't like paying big bucks on the OL.

You don’t pass on a premier edgerushing prospect like Bosa, which we’ve been seeking for the last 15 years, in favor of a potential high end center and an extra pick or two. And as far as Paradis and Morse go, Paradis just had surgery on both hips and a broken fibula over the last 4 months and Morse has had 3 concussions in the last 2 years alone. Also had a foot injury in 2017 that caused him to miss 5 weeks before re-injuring it and going on IR at the end of the season. I would’ve liked to land one of those guys but they were FAR from sure bets and Morse in particular was overpaid.
