Damn, a plane with software that wants to fly you nose first straight in to the ground.
Southwest flies like 34 of these planes. I have a couple flights on SW in a few weeks, not on 737 MAX though. Hope they don’t shift planes on different routes and fuck me over.

Southwest might take the plane scheduled for my route and use it on a route that had a 737-MAX scheduled to fly instead. My flight therefore gets cancelled.

I guess you have to err on the side of caution...but Indonesia...Ethiopia...they are going to have to look into their training and standards as well I would imagine. Thought I read that one co-pilot had 200 hours flying. Expediency is of the essence, the black boxes should tell us alot.

Boeing issued a SB identifying a possible issue and the steps to take in order to fix in flight, if of course it turns out to be the same issue on both flts. I just think that countries that do not adhere to EASA-FAA, and TCCA, and a handful of others, regulations are at a disadvantage. Boeing puts out the fix, but it is the regulatory commissions that enforce it and clearly it is not being enforced or taught in these countries the way it is here.

That the last two countries (to my knowledge) to ground the planes are US and Canada, both NA countries with presumably very similar regulatory laws regarding aircraft.
