Meh...I was prolly gonna be disappointed no matter what. Hard to wrap up a long running epic like this I suppose. Just ask GRRM. She had to drop the hammer and lay waste to the whole fuggin city. Line up with the opposition and you pay. Should have torched it last week. Midget gets taken out along with Jon Snow next week. ya know - given the current political climate, i don't think they can kill Shortstuff. it would be too mean. case in point: over the whole series, how many midget bowling scenes did we see? ZERO. QED

I knew the ending would disappoint bc its impossible to wrap up that much plot in a short season. But I didnt think it would suck this bad.
I guess the argument is that Dany was always destined to go crazy bc she is inbred. The red head wildling told us Jon Snow knows nothing so we shouldnt be surprised by his actions.
I went from being sad the show is ending to relieved.

The writers can explain that you've got this chick, Dany, who has been used by her brother, had all her trusted advisors leave or die, all that, until she just snaps, but this is also a character that spent 5-6 seasons freeing slaves, making decisions that took her away from her goal of getting back to Westeros, essentially doing the right thing, to over the course of a few days, snapping and basically committing genocide, wiping out hundreds of thousands of innocent people and even soldiers who had surrendered. Not only is it rushed, but it seems counter to her character arc. She literally destroyed the Red Keep that her family built, and wiped out the capital city. What, does she plan to rule from Dragonstone?

What, does she plan to rule from Dragonstone? If they wanted Dany to go down in flames, they should have set up her temperament better all along. She's been nothing but rock solid - it doesn't make much sense at this point. I'll say one thing - she's not keeping the throne - which she already has - because there's a whole episode left. It's either John or Sansa riding in through the wreckage. Arya is def in on killing Dany. Tyrion getting roasted by the dragon is what sends John over the edge to kill Dany. Btw - could it be a plot point against Tyrion that Cersei "escaped"? They aren't finding those bodies for a while...... I don't usually notice this on screen - but zero chemistry between Jon and Dany - no sparks - he looks like a guy in conversion therapy.....

Agreed more time and/or a better actress would have done loads more to sell the transformation.
I do agree that Dany is getting killed, most likely by Arya, lesser chance Jon Snow. I think Sansa winds up on the throne now... I think after last night, Jon is disgusted by southerners, and he's going to abdicate and head back north, maybe to hang with Tormund and Ghost.

Maybe Martin is a closet Trump fan. Red-haired Sansa jumps the throne and rebuilds the wall. We'll see .... I have a hard time thinking HBO isn't going to spin something off of GOT. Has there ever been an HBO spin off? .......
