Yeah in a perfect world. So we are supposed to hope that this kid that has been raised to be a psycho can somehow be fixed by his parents that raised him to be a psycho? My point was, shouldn't this kid have been flagged in the background check for the gun purchase? The school reports it to who? What if he was 16-17 years of age? The police? Isn't that who people are typically reported to for threatening to rape and murder other people? Maybe make the statute for people under 18 be that it isn't expunged from records for 10 years and then only if there are no other incidents at least for the sake of a background check. |

It wouldn't be meaningless if he was still in the same state, no? I do agree that it should be national though. I guess it would depend on the state and what the law allows? I assume the police were involved with the kill list and unkess he was charged there wouldn’t be a record in anything outside of the school or police. |

Agreed. But this has to include making the FBI do their jobs and stop wasting resources on 75 year old man's decades old petty crimes bc she lost. Imagine if that 32 million was invested in surveying 8chan and the other dark corners where these scumbags hang out. |

Obama made Sleepy his gun control czar back in 2013 after Sandy Hook and he couldnt get anything done bc they tried to take over everything. So dont let these assholes sell you on them being able to do something.
Write a one page bill with background checks. Dont add in all the bullshit leftist pipe dreams that people arent going to vote for.

One logical idea I heard floated today - by a Rep from Illinois - would be raising the purchase age of any 'semi' weapon to 21. The idea being so many of these mental issues and struggles stem from schooling, keeping that cohort from being able to legally purchase powerful weapons would likely yield real results. We don't trust sub-21s (let's be charitable) to do much of anything - seems crazy that we'd trust them with that sort of weapon. As far as things go, would be a relatively easy law to implement and police. FWIW - the Dayton shooter got off 41 shots inside 60 seconds. |
