I am ok with either Quinn or Bowles. Quinn is risky with having to wait for their season to end. Bowles can be hired tomorrow. If Bowles comes in for the second interview and knocks it out you have to hire him. If not you wait for Quinn.
Worst case though we lose out on both of them, not sure who I would want if we can't get either of them.

Something is amiss with Quinn... first clue was when it was reported that he wanted to bring Mark Dominik with him into the front office. McCagnan said absolutely no way. So there is no relationship there. Seems like Quinn's agent trying to drive up his price. McCagnan and Bowles have a prior relationship and are similar temperaments. See this now leaning Bowles. And for those wondering out there, something in the website won't let us spell Bowles name correctly. Have tried to edit several times.

Ian Rapoport @rapsheet 2m2 minutes ago Big change of plans: #AZCardinals DC Todd Bowels will now head to #NYJ first, then talk with #Falcons. Question is will #Jets let him leave? Oh shit...I like Bowels but I want quinn. Interesting. Could signal that the Jets fear Quinn may be slipping out of reach. If that looks like happening, it would make sense to move quickly to reach agreement with Bowels. They are clearly the two preferred candidates for the Jets, by some distance. I really like Quinn, but Bowles is a very appealing alternative.

Same thing that changes the names of NE's coach and QB, Denver's QB etc.

"first clue was when it was reported that he wanted to bring Mark Dominik with him into the front office. McCagnan said absolutely no way."When did that happen? We haven't even hired Big Mac yet? I thought the assumption was all along that in hiring the talent expert in Big Mac, we need to also hire an experienced cap expert/negotiator to work with him?

Jets rebuffed him. Can you imagine McCagnan getting hired, then Quinn bringing in his own GM on top of that? Not gonna happen, and makes sense that the Jets rebuffed him.

You guys are hanging on every word from these so called "insiders" way too much. If you listen to them long enough they will basically throw out every combo of HC and GM possible so that when guys are eventually hired they can go back to a tweet they made weeks ago and say "I told you so".

Oddly, I kind of thought that was the plan! I never read anywhere that the Jets had rebuffed any ideas from Quinn. I thought we were fueling up PLAYLIKEAJET1 to get out there and sign the guy on Saturday if he lost?

I actually prefer Bowels over Quinn because I think he's made more of the hand that was dealt
Has there been any news on who he'll bring with him, specifically for OC

Ultimately my first preference is a Quinn/Shanahan combo, but I think I prefer a Bowles/Shanahan combo over a Quinn/Cable.
