Perfect fit for this offense. Anyone know what the trade parameters were? Think I saw it was our 3rd and a 5th Still three 4th rounders, a 6th and a 7th to work with. And that’s just this year. Jets might not be done tonight

Remaining picks for the Jets: 3rd #72 - Friday 4th #111; #129; and #134 Saturday 5th #157 Does JD package a few of these and attempt to move into a pick in the 2nd or a high 3rd? They’re definitely trading up This isn’t like 3 years ago when the Jets had arguably the shittiest roster in football and these late rounders had a legit chance to stick. Last night Douglas specifically referred to the picks acquired in the Minnesota trade as “ammunition”. Dudes like McConkey, Corley, R. Wilson, Polk, etc are going to start flying off the board and I know Douglas wants one of them.

Would love to see the Jets move up tomorrow for a wideout like Roman Wilson, Corley or Pearsall.
Plenty of ammo to move up from #72 now.

At least they took my 2nd favorite OT
Fashanu is literally Brick 2.0
He may never be a perennial all-pro and he’ll never be a mauler in the running game, but he’ll do a great job of neutralizing those twitchy speed rushers like Brick did to dudes like Dwight Freeney 15 years ago.

Odunze or Bowers
I’m usually the guy constantly pounding the table for OL, but I just can’t get on board with drafting an insurance policy in the Top 10. And waaaay too many of these OT’s are projected to shift inside.
Stay away from Brian Thomas Jr.
Freakish talent but is way too raw to significantly contribute during the Rodgers window. We all know that if you’re not fundamentally sound, Rodgers isn’t throwing the ball your way.

I actually would prefer if Douglas trades back in the first, recoups the 2nd rounder we gave up for Rodgers and they take the best available WR and OT with the first 2 picks. I don’t want to trade down for the simple fact that I’m not convinced they would take an OT or WR if they move back. If the Jets stay at #10, they’re virtually guaranteed to take an OL or pass catcher. But if they move down…well, better get acclimated to the idea of Cooper DeJean or Byron Murphy being real possibilities.

More film I see of Bowers, more I like him. Which means some dickhead will jump ahead of us and take him. Short of Harrison, Nabers, Odunze or Alt falling to #10, I think he’s the pick. I don’t care if TE isn’t a “premium position”. Hell, that’s the only reason we’ll have a legitimate shot at Bowers in the first place. You’ve solidified the OL, added your #2 wideout opposite Wilson and you’re getting back your HOF QB. Yes I know this whole thing is all largely dependent on health but you could say that about every team in the league. If you can add a weapon like Bowers to cap off a pretty damn stellar offseason, then do it. This team had a 2-3 year window from the moment they traded for Rodgers. Don’t suddenly pucker your asshole and get scared now.

1 year, up to $20 million for Smith
Only a $6.5 million base with the rest tied to playing time incentives. The Jets are absolutely still looking to add a wideout. Probably either Williams, Boyd or Beckham.
Hello Brock Bowers

Massive fucking signing Not just a “good” LT, but a dude who is in the conversation with Joe Thomas and Trent Williams as the best OT of the last 15 years. Now go get Bowers or Odunze at #10 and let’s roll

Jets window is two years I’m beyond done thinking about the future. Clowney can give the Jets Huff’s production at half the price.
