i see no point in wasting roster spots on guys that only return punts or kicks. Archer and Ross are useless signings and a waste of cap space

thanks. was going back and forth between this pick and picking Su'a Cravens. was thinking of Cravens in the honey badger role in Bowle's defense. figured we could use a pass rusher more though. Do you mind sharing with us what you're thinking as far as the QB situation? It's such a cloud hanging over the franchise that I need to know what your agenda reads there so after seeing Lynch's pro day yesterday and some of the discussion about it, i wish it had happened last week. i think if i had to go back, i would take Lynch at 20. still not completely sold on him, but i think he showed a lot yesterday that he could be a potential franchise QB.

Being that this is taking play 3 weeks before the real draft, it's tough not knowing what the next weeks in FA could bring. I didn't find it responsible to trade the whole draft to move up for Goff or Wentz, and I'm not particularly fond of drafting a guy like Lynch in the first when I don't think he's ready to step in and start day 1. Honestly, as a jets fan I'm not too upset at the thought of seeing what Geno could do with the weapons on this roster now. (Don't kill me haha)

I like the Shalique Calhoun pick HeyMangold made. Quick 1st step, long and Rangy, dips the shoulder well and 1 thing that jumped out 34 1/4" arms. Those are like OT sized arms. Hopefully he knows how to use them. Needs to bulk up. Team Captain @ Michigan State(cough... Conner Cook) thanks. was going back and forth between this pick and picking Su'a Cravens. was thinking of Cravens in the honey badger role in Bowle's defense. figured we could use a pass rusher more though.

first off, sounds like you kind of need to relax. i was asking a serious question. - you might not be convinced on Conklin being a LT and you also mention that RT is an easy position to fill. so name the last great RT the jets have had? breno is a liability out there. i'm not convinced that Lynch is going to be a good NFL QB. i'd rather not waste a first rounder on a guy i don't think is going to be the answer. This is a "draft discussion thread"... you asked why i didn't like the pick. I answered. I even put in the trademark "those are just my feelings, don't get your pussy hurt" remark.. Don't ask next time if you don't want to know. I was better than relaxed, but now ya, i'm irritated. Very few teams in the NFL lock up $20-$30 of their annual cap in both OTs... the LT gets paid, and the RT is muscle for hire. It happens often enough, more often than Von Millers and Aaron Rodgers hitting the market. Definitely not butt hurt, just seems like you took the pick a bit too seriously. i guess we'll have to agree to disagree on the projected careers of Conklin vs Lynch.

Where do I begin? (other than the fact that Ragland would have been worse) Curious. What are the worries/concerns over ILB Ragland? no real worries. i just figured with all the Jets signings of LBs that we could go with some OL help.

why not? i was going to go Ragland but i decided on Conklin. the o-line needs some serious help. Where do I begin? (other than the fact that Ragland would have been worse) -I'm not convinced (at all) that Conklin will be anything more than a RT. He's not going to be be pillar on the left side for 10 years... so you just spend a first on arguably the easiest position in football to fill via FA. RT are one of the few positions you can bank on filling that way. -We're treating the draft as though it's happening today, and as of today we have geno and petty on the roster. You passed on Lynch for Conklin. I'll never be able to stomach that. Those are just my feelings. Had you selected a pass rusher or WR, i would still think it's ridiculous to pass on a QB - but i would understand. Can't get on board with a RT. first off, sounds like you kind of need to relax. i was asking a serious question.
