@jeffdarlington · 46m 46 minutes ago When I saw Maccagnan wants scouting dep’t to be sufficiently supported, it means he wanted proper resources invested in the crew he’ll hire. In other words, pack your fucking bags, Bradway. I think hat may be premature, Bradway is already working doen at the senior bowl practices as a Jets representative. Bradway could still have a role, he's well respected!

@jeffdarlington · 53m 53 minutes ago Ultimately, Jets proved ready to support Maccagnan, known in league circles as a true grinder and respected as a cerebral, hard worker. Probably my favorite tweet!

They don't have any input into the draft or anything else that goes on with the Jets from here on?

They will no longer be involved with the Jets after we hire a HC.

Best tweet I've read. Really makes me feel like MacCagnan really has a clear vision of what he wants to accomplish and how to do it. Please tell me that means Bradway is finally leaving.

One of the weirdest things about Idzik, besides his looks of course, was that he didn't bring any scouts from Seattle to Jets. Not one. Weird.

A friend of mine is a scout for the Texans. When I was working as an agent, i would hang out with him at the combine in Indy. I never met Mike, but after I heard the news I texted my buddy and this is the reply I got, "Great guy. Introverted. Good evaluator. Not a media type guy. Not a show boat. Just a hard worker. Really smart." I asked him if he thought Mike would be a good GM and I said we needed a home run in this draft and he said, "Yes, he will be good, if they give him some time and resources he will be good."

seems like a fantastic hire for the Jets. Exactly what they needed, not some been counter, but a GM with strong scouting abilities and the beat writers are saying he's one of the best in the league.
The fact that Bowles is meeting Woody, Casserly, Wolf, and Maccagnan for dinner tonight is icing on the cake. Not to mention Bowles rearranged his schedule to meet with The Jets first instead of the Falcons giving me the indication he wants the job. I like Quinn and would do back flips if he inevitably becomes the next head coach but I respect Bowles just as much. Bowles is highly respected, been coaching a long time, and worked under numerous great HCs.
If your Woody you don't let Bowles leave. A Maccagnan/Bowles leadership would be a fantastic ending to this search. I'm not sure who Bowles would bring here as his staff as oc/dc but the fact that Schwartz hasn't gotten much attention gives hope he might come here to lead the defense. I'd love to see him here with this defense. I think Mehta said chan Gailey would be considered as OC but I'd hope we'd look to bring someone else in.

Yet he elected to keep Bradway as the chief of scouting for some reason.
