Been a long time coming. Easily one of the top 5 most dominant Jets players at his position when he played. Really, I can only think of two others, Klecko and Revis. Hill was THAT good.

Well deserved, this centennial class thing fixed one glaring omission, which was Hill not being in.
But if Klecko doesnt get in this year, I dont see him ever getting in, which is a crock.

If he didnt get in with this extended group of inductees, I dont see anything changing in the future when it goes back to the regular inductions.

This was a long overdue election by a very deserving Jets player. But Klecko not making it will forever make this selection bittersweet. Klecko is the more recognizable (at least to me) out of the two so while Winston getting in is nice, I would've rather it have been Klecko. It's almost like the NFL is basically throwing a bone at the Jets fans by this induction as if saying "see? We inducted a Jet into the Hall like you wanted".

Hopefully Klecko get in while he is alive. Making these guys wait so long seems dumb.

Are they waiting for Klecko to die or something?
What a fucking asshole'ish thing to do if that's the HOF's plan : To vote them in PostHumously.

Hopefully Klecko get in while he is alive. Making these guys wait so long seems dumb. Hopefully. But I hate to say it, it aint happening. He's been eligible since 1994. 25+ years, and he hasn't gotten in. Expanded Centennial class this year, and snubbed again. With more guys retiring every year, and now being 20+ years retired hes a senior candidate, of which they only take two at most in a regular year, what makes anyone think the HOF committee will be going back and correcting this egregious error? DPOY in 81, four Pro Bowls at 3 positions, 2 All Pro team selections, 81 and 85, 75.5 career sacks - his resume says HOF. Fred Dean is in with equivalent numbers. But the voters have some reason for overlooking Joe. IMO, Joe gets fucked in this era of stat watching, due to the sack not being "officially recorded" until 1982. 2/3 of his 75.5 career sacks are "unofficial", although that didnt hurt Dean. The Jets in his time never won a super bowl. Joe himself has pointed to that as being a reason. He did his job quietly without a lot of drama or attention seeking as well. Everyone gets behind campaigns to get the HC fired - how about some campaigns to get Klecko inducted?
