Ty Cobb. Possibly the first sports superstar in the country. Apparently got a bad rap for a lot of myths along with that shit "Cobb" movie/hit piece. On the field pure excitement every time he put the ball in play. Now I gotta go re-read Ty Cobb: A Terrible Beauty again. Good read if you get a chance. Also founder of the Cobb salad! Pretty crazy. He probably was just adding all random ingredients he had around for sport science purposes or to get as much carbs etc and inadvertently became a hit. Like Arnold Palmer! I wonder how many sports stars accidentally came up with famous culinary dishes etc.

Snoop dog... Gin and juice Psssh there's a fuckton of these! We need a thread with a full list that would be very interesting to see I gotta say. I don't think any of these ppl have/had culinary background. Also gotta wonder if it was some random coming up with the same recipes.... Would anyone even be having them or even knowing what they are Pretty interesting

Dick Night Train Lane. He really beat the fuck out of WRs. Gonna go check out Dick Butkus now. I’m noting a trend.

1a) Jim Brown. Too young to see him at all, but football HoF and also arguably the greatest lacrosse player of all time. Long Islands finest athlete.
1b) Bo Jackson, for everything mentioned earlier. Hip injuries are crippling at any age.
