It's pretty exciting. Could it be that it's taken this franchise this long to get its head out of its ass and to implement proven formulas of successful teams?

Finally!!! It's about time someone acknowledged this, and did something about it. Once Izdick was fired, that was my number one criterion for a new GM. Thrilled it worked out that way.

Our scouting Dept. has been fucked up since the 70's. This is welcomed news. I want to record the presser when they announce TB is no longer allowed in the building.

Loving this hire more and more. The fact that Macc didn't take the job without getting Woody to dump more resources into scouting has me very, very excited.

Even though Bradway was the one person in the building who was high on Russell Wilson a few years ago, he gets no credit for that since he had no clout or influencing skills to make that pick happen. It would have been the one good thing he did for this team and he couldn't do it.
That said, again we're way too quick with the praise. Cleaning house is literally the EASIEST thing a new hire can do...people damn near expect it. Idzik cleaned house (player-wise) and what did that do? Why are we giving somebody credit for literally the easiest task he could have?
I'll wait for results myself.

True, but his outlook on investing more in the entire scouting process from top to bottom sounds very encouraging. It's something our last two GMs didn't do so, though it's easy, it laughably wasn't done. Talk is cheap, but I'm hopeful.

I can't argue with any of your post but I believe that the optimism after yesterday is warranted. This is the first time this organization used the correct method about setting up the team for future success. Woody finally appeased the fans, or finally got a clue and put the Jets in the hands of true football people in Casserly and Wolf. No more bean counters as a GM, no more loud mouth braggart as a coach, and we hired one of the most in demand coaches out there from the Parcells tree. Not to mention our new GM realized that our scouting department was shit and has plans too fix it. I realize it always comes down to results, and we are the Jets, but I'm optimistic for the reasons I listed above.
