This all just feels so right......I want to drink the Kool-Aid so bad, but so many bad memories not enough alcohol to drown them out. I just hope the media and the team gives this new regime at least 4 years before passing judgment

What's wrong with him? Don't know the guy. I'd love to hire him He was a failed GM but has a strong scouting background and even a little coaching experience. I wouldn't mind him in Bradway's current role as the head of scouting.

No more fucking defense in the first round.

What's wrong with him? Don't know the guy. Well.....remember how Bradway selected a Kicker (Nugent) in round 2 before?..Gene Smith has selected a Punter in round 3 before. His reason? "I rather select a starter over a backup" Going from Bradway to Gene Smith is like going from living in a cardboard box on a sidewalk to living in a longer cardboard box with a complimentary shower cap.

Jaguar fans seem to like him as a scout. jungle.jaguars.com/index.php?/topic/9909-gene-smith-joins-the-jets/?hl=%2Bgene+%2Bsmith

I'm cool with that especially since there's no way we'll hire a HC from the defensive side of the ball after Rex, Mangini, Herm, etc. No doubt the Jets are thinking offense all the way as they move forward...players, coaches, everything! No doubt.

What's wrong with him? Don't know the guy. Maybe it sounds too much like Geno Smith?

I won't disagree - but any evidence to back that up - just out of curiousity? Well, I'm pretty sure our draft history can do the talking for me. Since we selected Santana Moss in 2001, I can count the number of WRs and RBs taken in RNDS 1-2 on one finger... Stephen fucking Hill. ...you can throw Jace in there if it helps. Bradway needed to go years ago. Since Bradway has been in this organization the Jets have drafted 2 WRs in the first three rounds of the draft. That's 15 drafts and only 2 WRs drafted in the first three rounds. That's only one more WR drafted than punters drafted in the first three rounds. I could care less Bradway "liked" Russell Wilson, he liked Clemmens, Sanchez, and Geno too. Let's not fit him for a gold hall of fame jacket for "liking" a QB prospect.

No doubt. the truth in your irony is terrifying... Except the fact that many coaches with a defensive background draft offensive playmakers in the first round all of time. This draft is up to Mac, not Bowles the HC, just like it should be.
