Good move, the guy gets top 5 money and stays a Jet while they work out something long term. My nephew is his agent (Erik Burkhart), he was also Manzel's agent until Johnny got too nutty.

And this doesn't deserve a thread?? I really don't know him as an adult, I believe he is based out of Texas. I met him several times when he was in grade school. He went to college with Manzel and set his sights on becoming a sports attorney/agent and achieved it, a very smart young man. I spoke with his brother at a family function several years ago and asked him about Manzel. His brother indicated Manzel was not a bad person but the type of guy who couldn't say no to people and had an all or nothing personality which really accelerated after his success in college. He indicated Manzel would not listen to advice and kept doing stupid things which precipitated his downfall. The brother indicated he had met Manzel on several occasions and said he was a likable guy and ended it by saying he felt sorry for him but he did it to himself.

He's playing in some satellite league: Win or Lose, We booze. It's funny until you realize the dude pissed away his life.

It is still funny.
