Far from a JAG.
Highly rated RT, cut at a bad time (for him) by WFT for monetary reasons. This is an excellent signing. Should push Fant to backup swing tackle.

Awesome, instantly becomes a started and improves our overall depth at o-line. We have been a favorite to get him for weeks. Hearing the Jets put a significant 2 year offer on the table and he turned it down, betting on himself to get a better contract next year. He will be very motivated to play. JD keeps solidifying the O-line.

I find it hard to believe that is the best offer Moses commanded on the free agent market. That's peanuts for someone like him.

I guess he’s banking on having a big year and cashing in next offseason, be it here or somewhere else. Rapoport reported the Jets made a substantial two year offer but Moses elected to take the one year deal. Douglas basically just landed a Top 10 RT who hasn’t missed a game in 6 years with the money he freed up from the Crowder restructuring.

Call me crazy but I thought he would command a contract in the 3-4 year range for $10m per. I watched him a ton back at UVA and used to pump him up years ago and he hasn't disappointed at the pro level. Not only is he reliable, he's really good. Douglas is doing a great job so far on every trade and free agent signing. If he hits with Zach, Saleh, and half of his drafts we're golden.

Correct, baring an injury or other circumstance this guy is plug and play. It's up to Salah and staff to sell him on resigning with the Jets. I don't have a problem with the 1 year deal between $3-5M, if he performs as advertised, pay the man and lock him into a contract.

Upgrade over Fant who hopefully stays in a reserve role. Its nice to have a GM willing to invest in OL.
