I find it hard to believe that is the best offer Moses commanded on the free agent market. That's peanuts for someone like him. I guess he’s banking on having a big year and cashing in next offseason, be it here or somewhere else. Rapoport reported the Jets made a substantial two year offer but Moses elected to take the one year deal. Douglas basically just landed a Top 10 RT who hasn’t missed a game in 6 years with the money he freed up from the Crowder restructuring. I thought there was a mistake when they said the price This is not SOJ (for now)

Morgan Moses is a big time upgrade over Fant who I believe ranked dead last 62/62 amongst all starting OT's last year. He was atrocious and so was our entire right side of the O-Line.
And with Morgan Moses not only are we receiving a top 3 NFL RT with over 95 consecutive starts @ RT but he's A+ in pass protection and also an absolute animal in the run game.
He's going to become the strongest RT since Damien Woody of 2009-2010 and imo an O-Line trio of Mekhi Becton/Alijah Vera-Tucker/Morgan Moses has D'Brickishaw Ferguson/Nick Mangold/Damien Woody type of dominant potential within a zone blocking scheme.
Look for Michael Carter to RUN WILD during his Rookie campaign (kid ranked last year #4 in NCAA rushing yards and #1 in average yards per carry (8.0 ypc).

Also, Fant a big BLM loudmouth and can hit the road as far as I'm concerned. Moses is the real deal and is just what the Dr. ordered to give Wilson some time to do his reads instead of running for his life every play. As far as Carter, I'd love to see the rookie go off, it's been a while for the Jets since they caught lightning in a bottle and they are due.

So far he's been saying and doing all the right things, it seems. Schwiiiing. Mega schwing nypost.com/2021/08/02/morgan-moses-already-looking-like-a-jets-steal/During Monday’s practice, with the Jets in the throes of an 11-on-11 drill, the 30-year-old Moses pulled 24-year-old defensive lineman John Franklin-Myers aside after a play and gave him some advice that can’t help but make him better. Moses noticed a tendency in Franklin-Myers’ pre-snap set that could tip off an opposing offensive lineman. “I was like, ‘I didn’t even know I was doing that; let me fix that,’ ’’ Franklin-Myers said. “That’s in the middle [of practice]. That’s a guy who I go against every day. And for him to do that speaks for his character. “He literally said, ‘Man, if you get 10 sacks, you make us better. We’re all going to get better. If I know what you’re doing each and every play, I don’t get better. And if I don’t get better, you don’t get better.’ ’’ Moses said he told Franklin-Myers: “We might be practicing against each other, but at the end of the day we’re getting ready for somebody else. “As a veteran guy, if I can make myself a little bit better every day then I’m moving in the right direction,’’ Moses said. “If I can bring somebody else along with me, then that’s two people that are getting better out of the 53. That’s how you create that brotherhood and chemistry on and off the field with teammates.’’
