Been running a league for 17 years & before this year, I had been to the Championship game 4 times. But I lost 3 out of the four. Actually got my ass kicked by a better team in two of them & lost one when I was the better team. The year I won, I was dominate & expected to win.
This year, my team was good but two other teams were better. I didn’t think I had much of a chance. So it was awesome to beat both of them.
Fantasy football really is a combination of skill & a whole lot of luck. This year I got lucky.
At least one of my favorite football teams has one two championships in my lifetime.
Looking forward to my brother, the defending champ, having to present our big ass trophy to me at next years draft.
Anybody else win their league?

I don’t play anymore. Takes too much time to be any good. You really have to follow the whole league to do any good.

Big L is killing it (with Jetsrule) in the Hampur Pick em league.
It's like Southside banging a chick you've been hitting on.

It sucks being the Commission & not ever winning your own league. We started in 2005 & I finally got to the Championship game in 2010 & was sure I was going to win. But I got beat by 8 points to a team that I should have beaten. I had so many players underachieve that week. I went back to the Championship game in 2011 & got beaten by 18 points by a much better team. I finally won in 2014 & it was a comfortable 33 point win. The best part was that we had finally bought a big trophy & had all the winners on it. So I was the first one to get it. I went back to the Championship in 2017 & got crushed by the same friend who crushed me in 2011. But this time I lost by 34 points. I bailed on the league in 2018 because I got laid off from my job after 21 years & it was 5 days before the draft. That sucked. 😁 But I got rejoined in 2019. I was convinced that I was going to lose the Championship game and my odds of winning were bad. The Sunday night game would decide it all. I had a big lead but no players left. He had Rodgers & Adams plus Jefferson on the Vikings. I couldn’t watch the game or the fantasy score. I finally checked & there was 4:30 to go. GB had the ball & one Rodgers TD pass would beat me. Squeaked out a 6 point victory. Championships Jets - 1 Me - 2

It definitely takes some time & no matter how good you are, luck plays a big factor. My younger son played 2 years ago for the first time. I helped him with the draft a little & he would ask for a little advice. But he really got into it. Unfortunately he started out 0-6. His friends were merciless. They made fun of him every week as the losses piled up. But he just laughed it off & kept trying. He finally won in week 7. He won 8 of his last 9 games as he swept through the playoffs & won the Championship. He was the only one laughing at the end. 😁 Now he’s totally hooked.

I was pretty sure of a win by the end of the 1:00 games. It was a great feeling. We never had a trophy. Last year my girlfriend etched glasses for everyone. 2 large beer mugs for the Super Bowl and Toilet Bowl winners and pint glasses for everyone else. She is looking to put them up as a custom etching job on Etsy. Hopefully these pictures post correctly.

One point??? Oh shit!!! That had to hurt bad. Especially with it being your first appearance. I would have broken something. I remember being so pissed off when I lost my first one by 8 points. I can’t imagine losing by 1. One of my college buddies has won our league 4 times, including twice against me. Two years ago, he won the championship by 2 points. It must be great to know you’re going to win after the 1 pm games. When I won in 2014, my opponent had Tannehill as his QB. He had his best game of the year. Something like 41 points. So the game looked tight. But after the 4 pm games, I thought I would win but there was a chance that he could come back on me. He didn’t. This year, after the 1 pm game, it said I had a 32% chance of winning. But I started Rashaad Penny for the 1st time & he got me 35 points & I had no players left but I took a 65.5 point lead into the Sunday night game. He had Rodgers & Adams plus Jefferson on the Vikings. The scored a total of 59.5 & I won by 6. Jefferson having no QB was a huge break for me. Better to be lucky than good. This isn’t our trophy but it’s the same one we have. Ours has our logo in color & 9 plates on each of the 4 sides.

I kept second guessing myself & decided to put Everett in & take Fant out. I had Fant on my roster since week nine and he never scored more than 7.5 points. So I decided to make the move. It could’ve cost me the championship because Everett only got 4.5 points while Fant got 18 points. Those extra 13.5 points would have made the Sunday night game a lot less stressful.

I had a great team this year. Ended up with the most points by about 60 for the season. Biggest weakness I had was QB but I picked up Burrow after someone dropped him mid-November. Didn't play him until week 16 & 17 where he got me 41 & 37pts for the playoffs! The craziest part of this season is the point difference between best (me) and worst team was 523.5 pts and I lost to the worst team in week 9 86-64.5! These are the season totals for all 10 teams in my league. I was in 6th place based on W/L at the end of the regular season. 1982 1938.5 1869.5 1847 1807 1733 1732 1649 1510.5 1458.5

I scored the most points in the regular season but was only 8-6. Fantasy football will always have a good deal of luck involved. Fortunately I had the luck during the playoffs when it counted.

Congrats!! I won mine as well!!!
Actually loser bracket champion. I started out like 4-0 then limped to end. Got hit with injuries, and when i needed my points makers, Dak and zeke to do good they crumbled.
Been playing for over 25 years and have won one!!
