Would like to know more about this guy's resume. Was he good at the financial/negotiation aspect of the job? I know Mac needs help in that dept but is this guy it? He was a college scout for Jacksonville and worked his way up to GM. Similar background to Maccagnan -- scouting and player personnel. Doesn't sound like he would be our financial/cap guy. I'd rather have an entire front office of actual football guys who know players and hire an accountant off the street. Yes you can end up with a Tanny situation but why have I never got the importance people place on having a cap guy in such a high spot - look at the Pats even, Belidick is the coach and GM and they've been doing pretty ok (though he does have apparently have a BS in economics...still)

This is what happens when you have a GM with a personnel background. He isnt afraid to hire his own scouts. Only reason why Bradway lasted that long was bc we had glorified accountants as GMs.

You feel like Idzik didn't get rid of more guys because he didn't have the connections to replace them. What this tells you is tht Mac has a lot of connections, if he's confident wiping out the entire staff Day 1.

Finally , lets bring in Gamble. His name is being tossed around as going wherever Quinn ends up...doesn't seem very likely but you never know. Oh well.

@mmehtanydn Jets GM Mike Maccagnan also wants to hire former Jaguars GM Gene Smith. Barring a snafu, that is happening, per source. #nyj Brian Costello @briancoz Was asst. QB coach in '09 RT @caplannfl: Jets want to interview former Raiders QB coach John DeFilippo for their QB job, per league source. Womanish Mehta @mmehtanydn Mike Maccagnan wants to bring aboard Rams scout Brian Heimerdinger to Jets front office, per source. Both worked together w/Texans #nyj Does DeFilippo have any history with Gailey? I thought they might try to keep David Lee, Lee was on the Dolphin staff with Bowles, and I think he was in Dallas as well.
I wonder if Brian Heimerdinger is related to the former Mike Heimerdinger?

Love the vibe of this new regime. No guarantees of success, but certainly a bigger possibility by doing something different for once.
Fuck yeah...

Not sure on where the connection but I imagine after spending a number of years in the league you develop friendships and respect with other coaches on other teams and this might be a case of that but I'm just spitballing here. he is related to him its his son.

I don't know if anyone posted it, but the exact language of the announcement by Mac was that "Terry Bradway and Jeff Bauer have been notified that the organization is moving on without them."
Don't know exactly why, but I really like it.

Spot on I know what you mean, this whole fucking stupid cycle of keeping the GM firing the coach, fire in the GM keeping the coach started with Bradway as GM. It's nice to have a total cleanse that's been in the making for 15 years. THIS IS HOW ITS SUPPOSE TO BE DONE.The organization is moving on without them just sounds good, just sounds Right ,sounds perfect, about time!! Now excuse me my goose & seltzer is getting lonely.

I know I'm repeating what is already said(but fuck you anyway, I'll say it again!!) but the only reason Bradway lasted this long is because he was basically forgotten about and was only re-discovered when MacDaddy did some long overdue spring-cleaning.
It's like discovering rat shit in your cupboard and wondering how long you had a fucking rodent problem?
Enter Mac the Exterminator.
Goodbye Bradway(and that other guy) and GOOD FUCKING RIDDANCE!
