There’s little about Tim Boil that inspires confidence but he does seem to know the offense really well. There was an AP article yesterday with GW essentially calling out Zach, saying that TB will make adjustments at the line so that they’re ‘not running the same vanilla play’. Never saw this come up but I wonder if Zach’s lack of doing this has been part of the terrible production of the offense. Cause AR sure as shit did that stuff. Will be interesting to see if the offense does much better even as Boil’s numbers are middling. Article in the athletic today about TBoyle might be exactly what the jets O needs, and went on to tell about all the off-season QB work he’s been doing and shit. he might be as bad as ZW. He might be better. Who knows. We’ll see. Nothing to lose IMO. ZW is trash.

Then again…this is the jets and still have some creativity left when it comes to eviscerating every last trace of joy from its fanbase. Butt fumble is old now. Need to let Boil etch his name on the Jets Wall of Shame. Buckle up for a new slice of humiliation. Fuck

Not going back to Wilson next week would be criminal. It's an easy comeuppance for all involved, just say you wanted to give it a shot with Boyle and give Zach a chance to reset. Siemian will be MUCH worse as he is Flacco-light in the pocket. And I don't want to hear anything about quicker decisions versus holding the ball if the former is unathletic/immobile, because problem #1 on this team is, and has been, the OL.
Wilson has been bad, but he has the best arm, best ability to escape and make plays when he runs (when he senses the rush), and by and large has limited the big mistakes. Today shows that the OL and lack of creativity in the playcalling has only further hindered him. Still the best of bad options.

He was just as bad as ZW and ZWs had months of practice with the first unit and game time. I couldn’t stand to see ZW in the lineup, nevermind an jets uniform, ever again. Additionally, stat line on Boyle - 1 game, 1 TD. Wilson? Not even close. edit: added fucking for emphasis

I've been following this team for over 40 years and Wilson is the bottom of the barrel. Yes he has a good arm, yes he can scramble, the problem is his brain will never be able to function at the NFL level. He can't read a defense, he can't beat a blitz and will be out of the league within a couple of years. He's fucking awful to the point of shattering all time NFL records for ineptness. I hope he never takes another snap as a Jet.

I have no idea how to compare this to other teams other rosters but this has to be some sort of record?

The kid just doesnt have it between the ears. The game is just way too fast for him. And I would argue he hasnt limited the big mistakes. He has merely swapped INTs for fumbles. Best of bad options is probably right. But at what cost? Losing the locker room. Honestly I dont think any backup QB saves this season for us. This was supposed to be a SB contending season. Because we are the Jets it lasted 4 plays. As cruel as it can get. Sure better roster management and we may have stood alive longer.

I have no idea how to compare this to other teams other rosters but this has to be some sort of record? The fact that we are into our 3rd and 4th string (off the street) is pretty bad but there are teams all over the league that have had devastating injuries to their OL and have managed to keep it together. There is no excuse to be worst in the league. Its coaching. You have to adapt your playcalling and schemes.
