Not going back to Wilson next week would be criminal. It's an easy comeuppance for all involved, just say you wanted to give it a shot with Boyle and give Zach a chance to reset. Siemian will be MUCH worse as he is Flacco-light in the pocket. And I don't want to hear anything about quicker decisions versus holding the ball if the former is unathletic/immobile, because problem #1 on this team is, and has been, the OL. Wilson has been bad, but he has the best arm, best ability to escape and make plays when he runs (when he senses the rush), and by and large has limited the big mistakes. Today shows that the OL and lack of creativity in the playcalling has only further hindered him. Still the best of bad options. I'll never understand your infatuation with Zach Wilson. I've been following this team for over 40 years and Wilson is the bottom of the barrel. Yes he has a good arm, yes he can scramble, the problem is his brain will never be able to function at the NFL level. He can't read a defense, he can't beat a blitz and will be out of the league within a couple of years. He's fucking awful to the point of shattering all time NFL records for ineptness. I hope he never takes another snap as a Jet. I hate the fact that he was likely mishandled and has tons of talent (one of the most talented throwers I've ever seen IMO, guess I have scout-itis). As I've said before, I wish AR had never gotten hurt and this had been the true reset Wilson was promised, a fresh redshirt year. Instead we have this mess, and he isn't even the worst part of it (he is top 3, however). Again, he's the best we have of bad options. At this point that's where I am. I've given up on him as a player with the Jets.

The kid just doesnt have it between the ears. The game is just way too fast for him. And I would argue he hasnt limited the big mistakes. He has merely swapped INTs for fumbles. Best of bad options is probably right. But at what cost? Losing the locker room. Honestly I dont think any backup QB saves this season for us. This was supposed to be a SB contending season. Because we are the Jets it lasted 4 plays. As cruel as it can get. Sure better roster management and we may have stood alive longer. Locker room is gone. We just haven't seen it expressed outwardly yet, at least not obviously. MC getting traded, Lazard kicking soccer balls and now getting benched, Hall standing off to the side as the O huddles during a TO, defense starting to make business decisions, it's subtly there already.

Doesn’t the OL coach need to be shitcanned at this point, at a minimum? Tomorrow is the perfect day for changes.

Let the guy with the potential possible athletic upside start over the had beens who never weres. Who cares anymore. Play the younger most likely bust over the crap they know sucks. It’s a mess anyway.

It would be criminal to not go QB in Round 1 of the draft (then every other position on offense). For the first time in a long time, we can groom a QB, and have him sit and learn. It just won't be Wilson. It's too bad because of his crazy arm talent, but I've grown numb to that. Give me a boring dude who can read a defense and make 90% of the throws.

So, Salah finally pulled the trigger and benched Wilson. However, he replaced him with someone who is worse than he was. I'd say give Simeon a shot at Atlanta and see what happens. NY talk radio now appears to want Wilson back after the benching. I don't think he will be back with the team next season so I'd go with running him back out there and see if there is any, and I mean ANY sign of getting it.

Why bring in Semen if not to replace the worst QB's in the league.

Give him a week+ with the starters in practice as opposed to the 4 days for last game. Might be marginally better on Sunday. But you can take ZW and both of yous can go fuck right the fuck off. No offense.
