i dont see the harm in adding a talent like that when you have so much money to spend. the vikings didn't lose because they HAD adrian peterson, they lost because they DIDNT HAVE a qb (not that we do). just because its a passing league doesnt mean you avoid good rbs like the plague

I'd rather go after a guy like Spiller who was amazing in Chan Gailey's offense, will come cheaper and compliments Ivory perfectly.

I would bring Petersen in as an offensive quality control coach, if guys screw up on the field Petersen can whip them in the nuts as they come off the field. Do that a few times and I'm sure all those false starts and holding penalties will disappear.
