Last year was an unmitigated disaster at the position but in years prior we did address it the problem is we either drafted poorly or couldn't develop them. We did invest two first round picks under Rex at the position. Wilson turned into horse shit and Milliner finally broke down after dancing between raindrops his entire college career. Mac and Bowles need to get it right at CB. I think they will address it in FA rather than the draft. Wilson isn't horseshit. He is the most underrated defensive player on the team. He gets way too much shit from this fanbase. We are spoiled by Revis and Cromartie and expect every corner to be the same.

He is a decent nickel CB and will continue to play in this league. However, it continues to be painful how he can't learn, can't improve, continues to never turn and look for the football, commits penalties, etc. So I agree that he isn't horseshit, but nearly everyone agrees that we can do better and should upgrade.

Ugh man lol...The Ravens had a worse secondary than ours. My Bottom line: Rex's offensive game plan has been antiquated and inept from the start. Its funny how fans want to say that Idzik is the sole culprit for the Jets downfall, when the truth of the matter is that Rex was also a huge reason for the Jets collapse. Didn't say Idzik was the sole culprit. Rex has faults, many of them. But one thing is certain, his defensive scheme is predicated on strong CB play....and the Jets were starting 2 guys who barely any of us knew. Seriously, name the Jets CBs this season. Again, Rex is gone and that chapter is closed. What I'm saying is that you need to get the coaches the types of players they need. You don't build a passing attack and then center it around a horrible QB. You don't build a tough running game and use 250 lb offensive linemen to execute it. You don't take a blitzing, cornerback-dependent scheme and then line up Phillip Adams and Marcus Williams against Calvin Johnson and Golden Tate. That's all I'm saying. My bad thought you were selling Rex again.

When he isn't getting beat like a rented mule, he's committing penalties to stop from getting beat. He's a Jag who should be shown the door.

Very frustrating. I gave him a pass earlier on, the NFL game takes time to come into focus for these young players (notably those in the secondary) but he really hasn't progressed too much.

Boy I just heard Mike Westhoff and he has some real issues with Bowles. He was saying that he ran the same scheme in Arizona and how is he going to make adjustments here. He also was concerned about how that defense was run on late in the season. Well Mike if you paid attention about Arizona's defense they were depleted from the get go...he made the most out of the situation and made them over achieve, why? because of coaching. I am really surprised with his comments he seems like a smitten man. I really like Westy I think he's great but you do get the sense that he's a little bitter that he was never a head coach.

I thought he was a great ST coach, but he is a blowhard.
