If the game were played with properly infalted balls the whole time, do you still think NE would have won by as much as they did? Or would it would have been much closer or even a Colts victory?

The Cheats would still have won, which actually makes the cheating even more inexplicable. Why cheat against a Colts team that was completely outclassed?

^ See? Right there is the REAL issue.
They were most likely using the same deflated balls against the Ravens(the same team that was up by 14 points at one point). Very suspicious.

If they were doing this all seasons then as a matter of principle they should not have even been in the playoffs. Had they not been cheating, perhaps they don't even have the record to get into the playoffs. They may have then lost to the Ravens or whoever they may have played in the wildcard game.

Obviously giving them an advantage for years.....this is a game on inches, and just 1 fumble can change a game/season
Who is to say they didn't tamper with the game balls against the Jets...had The Jets won just 1 of the 2 games this year, the Pasts would have lost home field advantage.

They would have beaten the colts anyway. The issue is that they cheated. They have a legacy of cheating. If they cheated in the AFCCG, why wouldn't they have cheated in previous games, including the regular season and the playoffs. The punishment should be extremely harsh and swift. But sadly, the NFL no longer has a reputation for doing the right thing. They fail at nearly every step and the integrity of the game is truly in doubt. They have played this so that it will take a long time to figure out and the super bowl will not be affected. They have circled the wagons and allowed the cheaters off the hook again. The pats and their fans can say what they want but the organization is now known as the biggest team of cheaters in sports history. Great quote from a pats fan today... "The Jets may suck but at least they have integrity."  |

Plus they beat the Ravens by 4! The Colts also alerted the league that they thought they had used deflated balls in their regular season game. Add all the pieces together and it means they still cheat all of the time and could very well have lost vs the Ravens had it been a level field. Kind of like beating the Rams and Eagles in their other SB wins. in which they cheated. Strip them of the wins and force Kraft to sell the team like the NBA did to the owner of the Clippers. At least his violation didn't threaten the integrity of the sport if the NBA has any integrity after their own cheating scandal. |
