Why isn't anyone hammering away on this?? He believes the atmosphere caused the PSI to drop...why not the Colts balls? Were the Colts balls so overinflated that an atmospheric change caused it to drop, but not below legal limits?
The NFL should be embarrassed...what more could the possibly look at after a week where they can't come to some reasonable conclusion?
No. His theory is that the activity of prepping the balls and the atmosphere in combination caused the deflation. Basically, he is saying that messing around with the ball and the atmospheric changes artificially increased the psi to 12.5 at the time the officials approved the ball. Then, during the first half the psi settled down due the ball bein outdoors and because a lot of time had passed since they were rubbing and doing whatever else they do to prep the ball. He claimed their ball prep activities artificially causes a temporary increase in psi by 1.0. I guess he hopes the NFL buys what he is selling and attributes the second 1.0 drop in psi to the weather. I guess they treat their balls rougher than the Colts do

"This was an important issue and we addressed it." I guess the issue is closed then. Um, how? You would have to ask the Hoodie. He is the one who said it has been addressed.

What makes no sense to me is that the Pats lit up the Colts in the second half like they were playing a Pop Warner team. The refs said the balls were properly inflated for the second half. Anybody else confused?
What if Belicheat and Cindy really are innocent? That will be a disaster for all of us.

He got up there and tried to cause plausible deniablility.
It's all he could do to cover this thing up, because he knows exactly what TRULY happened

Anybody else confused? What if Belicheat and Cindy really are innocent? That will be a disaster for all of us. The problem with this statement is that you're assuming this happened in just this game. It's obvious to me, this isn't the only time this happened. Other teams caught wind, and brought it to light

To me, the biggest jerkoffs are the refs and the league for not being on top of the situation. Not saying I believe this, but it is possible that the Cheats did nothing wrong. If that gets proven, there will be a whole bunch of fuckin' crow for all of us to eat, especially the fat turd on WFAN. Actually, it might be fun to watch that worm squirm on air.

All I know is that Goodell has been a complete disaster for a very long time (maybe even from the start of his tenure). He had better get his shit together and explain exactly what happened in the Cheats-Indy game. And I don't mean a cursory attempt. Soup to nuts so that either Belicheat and Cindy are punished, or the folks who did the deed. That's the only way for him to cling to the microscopic level of credibility he still possesses.

They aren't innocent. Perhaps they didn't do it intentionally (lmao...yeah. right)...But the god damn fucking rule said the balls need to be at a set pressure. They weren't. End of story That line of reasoning would be like saying it's ok the receiver stepped out of bounds before getting in the end zone...He didn't mean to, so the touchdown stands. The day this happened they should have been IMMEDIATELY fined. THEN they could "investigate" to see if someone did it intentionally.

What I understood is that whatever prep process they used resulted in an under-inflated football. Suspensions all around.

There's no question that the balls were underinflated. You don't get to get away with it because you "didn't mean to". They should be held responsible for producing non-regulation footballs for the game.
