1.) NFL rule states balls have to be inflated to a set pressure. 2.) The rule DOES NOT differentiate if it was intentional or not. 3.) Teams provide their own balls. Now...please explain why the same league that fines players for not wearing socks the right way hasn't fined your team. You forgot #4: 4.) "The person responsible and, if appropriate, the head coach or other club personnel will be subject to discipline, including but not limited to, a fine of $25,000." The rule doesn't provide for an automatic fine on the team in question and the "person responsible" is not as easily identified as someone who is wearing socks the wrong way. According to Goodell during Bountygate the head coach is always ultimately responsible even if they claim they were unaware as they should always be aware of what is happening on their team.

Goodell can do whatever he wants, of course, but two issues with that approach: 1. The "if appropriate" language in the rule becomes completely super-fluous. [LOL, if I don't use a dash in that last word, it auto-corrects to "Soupy fluids"] 2. If Goodell really believed what he said, then BB should have been punished by the league in connection with the Hernandez murder, Pete Carroll should have been punished for Seattle's multiple PED suspensions, Rex should have been punished for Tripgate, etc., etc.

Sure, because their investigation report needs to explain why this isn't an issue and having expert analysis is the best way to get that done.

What is wrong with you? Yes, we know the NFL is trying to drag this out and make it look like there is something to investigate so they can drag this out past the Superbowl when it will be a moot point. They can't have one of the teams in the superbowl declared cheaters having gotten theire illegally. That would look really bad for the NFL. So they're looking for every possible excuse to 'investigate' until the game is over then they can hand out their slap on the wrist. You moron.

Or are you a commie?

Today's NY Daily News has a deflation experiment on the front cover. They take the balls into the restroom and try to deflate them in 90 seconds. Result? They did it in 40 seconds. Cheatriots*** VIDEO: It's possible

Couldn't agree more Sonny Werblin. The story has gained so much traction because it's a funny concept and the Pasts seem like doofus jackasses trying to keystone cops their way into an advantage, but this is a much bigger deal than a lot of people are discussing. How many other teams have been cheated out of wins since 2007, and as a result also cheated out of new fans, merchandise sales, playoff ticket revenue, etc. You're talking about the Patriots stealing millions and millions of dollars from other teams, and corrupting competitive balance in the NFL for over a decade when you add this to spygate. It's honestly grounds for contracting the franchise.

Kraft must be forced to sell the team.

Kraft must be forced to sell the team. He doesn't mind Magic Johnson, so that seems unlikely.
