Just read that Aaron Hernandez had stage 3 (out 4) CTE. Allegedly youngest brain to reach that stage. a money grab by his family.. the NFL is to blame... lets see the brains scans of all the idiots here then tell me the NFL is to blame... No doubt a money grab by the parents, but the diagnosis was done by the group that studies the brains. BTW, I'm not syaing it exonerates him from killing people, but I do believe it effects peoples behavior.

If CTE were a cause, Al Toon and Wayne Chrebet would be serial killers. _

Throw tons of cash at the guy and he felt invincible. CTE? Maybe. Pre-existing thug with $40 million? More likely. _

My comment was more linked to football and having that bad a case of CTE at his age, than what he did off the field.

have there been any studies investigating whether jabbing ten gallons of street grade tattoo ink into every pore of your body may contribute to cte?

a money grab by his family.. the NFL is to blame... lets see the brains scans of all the idiots here then tell me the NFL is to blame... He played 38 games in the pros. Played 40 games in college. Had to have played at least 30 in HS. Don't know about pee we football when his brain was most susceptible. Was he ever in a car accident? In a street fight? Why is this the NFL's fault? _ well thats what his family's gonna say... hey i wonder if they get any money if any of it goes to his victims...

Of course but all they said it was the NFLs and Pats fault. Because of the deep pockets. If they were being honest they'd blame every level iof football. _

They need to actually take the brain out of the head and study it. CTE cannot be detected by any existing imaging systems. It is why they only do it to dead guys. I think Bowles should be tested ASAP. Prolly explain a lot of the shitty coaching going on.

Then spent an hour backtracking that he was mistaken. _

Its funny when Fatcesa is wrong and has to backtrack.
What they need is to study more non-contact sport brains, to establish a baseline. Unless they're already doing that.

A few years ago I never imagined myself saying this but between the CTE and all the other stuff going on the Golden Goose is dying.

Meh, I think they've shot the selves on the foot with the rules favoring offense. Instead of parity, I think it's widened the gap between haves and have nots. Used to be teams with great offense and teams with great defense could make the playoffs and championship games. Now having a defensive team or drafting defensive players is a liability.
