As per Rotoworld
Stephen Ross - C - Dolphins The Miami Herald reports the Dolphins were high on Wisconsin coach Bret Bielema before hiring Joe Philbin in 2012, but the sides disagreed on whether Russell Wilson could be an NFL starting quarterback. This is an amazing story, and it's a slow news week ahead of the Super Bowl, so we'll shout it out. Per ace beat writer Armando Salguero, Dolphins owner Stephen was high on Bielema for the head-coaching job, but Bielema and the personnel department led by ex-GM Jeff Ireland hit a wall when Bielema suggested the Dolphins take Wilson in the second round of the 2012 draft. Bielema allegedly even promised the Dolphins a Super Bowl within five years if they take Wilson, who was Bielema's quarterback at Wisconsin. Bielema pulled out of the running for the job over "personnel issues," and the rest is history. Ireland took Ryan Tannehill with the No. 8 overall pick, and Wilson went to Seattle in the third round. The Dolphins remain doormats, while Wilson is going to back-to-back Super Bowls. Source: Miami Herald Jan 30 - 12:10 PM

Bielema and Bradway should hang out sometime.

Let's not forget that they also chose to sign Culpepper instead of Brees some years back.

They still would have sucked. Wilson is not an elite QB that can carry teams. He's a very good QB that can win so long as the rest of the team is solid, which is clearly the case in Seattle. Outside of a good d-line, Miami has no o-line or playmakers on offense to complement Wilson.
If drafted by Miami, he still would have been a middle-of-the-road QB, just not the top 5-10 type that he is now.

They are only as good as they are because of Wilson. He would have a field day with Wallace, Landry and Clay. Seattle's O-Line has two above average players (Okung and Unger) and the rest is complete trash. The Miami OL is actually better than Seattle's when Albert is healthy. Lynch and Wilson carry that offense -- both are elite.

I feel confident Tannendumb will make huge progress in the drafting on that team.

I feel confident Tannendumb will make huge progress in the drafting on that team. That idiot was on NFL radio on Sirius XM today. I swear to god, he spewed the same exact fluff bullshit he was spewing when he was with the Jets. He spent several minutes running his mouth and said absolutely nothing, outside of "Rex's defense in Buffalo will be great" and "The Jets have some good young players".
Oh yeah, he also said "I want to suck Tom Brady's cock". I think that just about covered the AFC East.
Dummy.
