i get it. he held out a couple times and wanted money. he's arguably the best player the Jets ever drafted. he's still young, in his prime, hasn't been injured in the last 2 years and had a great season this year. i'd definitely bring him back. gastineau Klecko Namath Mangold Before Revis for me. Mangold has no place being ranked above Revis. I love Mangold, but he's nowhere near the same class as Revis. Mangold is a very good player at his position - Revis is one of the best all-time at his.

Mangold is an all pro 9 year Jet and is without doubt one of the best Jet drafted players ever, IMO above Revis because of his longevity with the club and at one of the most vital positions. I think you are devaluing the C position, you can replace an all pro Corner quicker then you can an all pro C.
As a pure talent then yes I get the Revis argument, but the debate was best Jet drafted, and for me based on length of service, pro bowls, all pro status and value of position, Mangold has turned out to be a far better draft pick for the Jets.

Agree with Harrier here on most of this. Mangold is a C for the decade, easily one of the top 8 or so of all time. Guy is that good.

Gimme a break. Mangold is great, and will be part of Jet lore... but Revis is obviously, and clearly, the best playmaker the jets have drafted in contemporary NFL. You have dig back into the 80s to even come up with a case for argument. Namath is the only Jet that has him beat without a discussion.

Don't want him anymore. He's been defiled. He's like the sweet virgin bride you find out got creampied by Adolf Hitler the night before your wedding. Could it get any worse?

Don't want him. He wasn't even that great in this game. I hope NE overpays him and then gets cap penalties for cheating.

Pretty sure Mac-daddy will put the contract before Woody and Woody says "$20 million per season? Get the fuck outta here!" He won't be a Jet again.

Not a chance in hell he comes back, why would he. Revis has a solid team on winning ways and we have what, uncertainty? I think Revis at this point is as concerned with the money, it is about money and the team and can they win, he is happy in NE.

all for it. there's no way the patsies pick up his 26 million contract so they will release him. the jets can at least help drive the price up. it's not good to be sentimental and hope for a cromartie-revis secondary again but those two guys are miles above what they had last season.

So let's bring him back as 75% of what 2010 Darrelle Revis was, pay him tons of money, let him retire as a Jet in 8 years as a 1 time Super Bowl champion. My lord.
